  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Got it. Thanks for the clarification. Well as this isn’t luxury I hope it just pops open. One less thing to break. I test drove that GV60. It’s a really nice vehicle.

Okay this article says this new Kia gets rid of the gas door that’s powered open with a motor and makes it like a regular gas door. I thought EVs just had a regular gas door you pop open. Is that not the case? https://insideevs.com/news/757067/kia-ev4-charging-door-power/

    Delivery date

You could tell who the Rivian engineers were in town. They were the first ones with the trucks in their driveway.

Future Model: Scout Sport- Smaller, and more efficient, but still capable.

I’m 20 minutes from the factory. I went out there to test drive an R1S a while ago. It’s huge but they are trying to expand more. They just need more capacity. The city gave them a big tax incentive to build more so crossing my fingers they just keep growing. Good for the local economy...

Rivian should have made these before the R2 in my opinion. They are too cute for words!

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

Thanks for the confirmation. That’s the way I understood it as well.

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

I’m in the same boat. And my understanding, someone correct me if I’m wrong, is that it’s not necessary to change our reservation to the BEV and when it’s time to order we can change even at that point. Is that correct? Because I am totally undecided at this point in time.

    Scouts with Handicapped Adaptability

Okay I admit I know nothing about air suspension. Since I won’t be going off road is there an advantage to getting that option? I understand the mechanics of it, but if this is my daily driver and for road trips is this option advisable to get?

I finally saw an old military Jeep at a car show. I was surprised how little it was!

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

I love it! I hope Scout runs with ideas like this and we see them sponsoring all kinds of athletes. Special Olympic athletes would be really cool too!

    Welcome and Introductions!

Welcome to the community! It was stated somewhere, don’t ask me where, that the reservation numbers were auto generated and did not indicate a “place in line”. The numbers are just random is my understanding. I have also reserved the Traveler with the Harvester. Can’t wait! Welcome again.
