  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Scout Deal Breakers

Yes I think it was newer Jeeps if I’m remembering correctly and everyone had a fit so it stopped. Mines too old so it couldn’t do that. Did anyone actually have experience with it? And that would be awful.

Hoping for a simple option - will pay extra!

Maybe some of that could be accomplished in a profile that is set. I know there’s thing we can turn off in our Supra like that chime that goes off if you go more than 5 miles over the speed limit. We turned that off. It was so annoying. They could have a “weird old guy” setting per se.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Exactly. A Defender Sport basically is what it looks like to me. I can’t imagine what features it’s going to have for that price. Definitely not for me.

So Slate is going to have a pickup truck and a 2 door SUV and the reveal is the 24th, apparently… https://www.theautopian.com/the-new-slate-suv-reportedly-funded-by-jeff-bezos-was-just-revealed-in-the-most-insane-way/

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

My kids are requesting comfortable back seats. They are in their 20s now and big guys. So enough height in the back for big people. Comfortable seats. Not just a “jump seat” like my Wrangler has (not sure if that’s the right term). And it would be great if the seats recline some.

Now I have a question. The diagram with the measurements. Is that the measurements of the prototypes or the measurements of what the vehicles will be? Or both?

We have the Hey Lady Scouts thread going where we have been posing questions just like this for SM. It would be great to have her join us! https://community.scoutmotors.com/threads/hey-lady-scouts.2288/post-27307

My best friend ordered her X5. She was telling me where it was. It seemed to be more than just order placed etc. she was able to go in her BMW app and track her car. So it would be nice to have access to the Scout app after we place our order to follow our Scout and also get access to the...

Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

Oh this has me thinking. Rivian has the owl hooting and the bird chirping. We could have chickens clucking and cows mooing! 🐮

    Future plans for after-sale updates

If you keep it long enough to where the battery is that much better I would assume other advancements are as well. I would think a trade in would make more sense. I would think it would be more complicated than just take out the harvester and throw in a new battery. 🤷‍♀️

I keep thinking of amusement parks. Where they take your picture in the middle of the ride and you get the picture at the end. They just need something like that. And then I’m hoping they do something like what BMW does. If you order a car from them you can track the progress. It’s in the...

Oh I absolutely would. Like you used to get with Cabbage Patch Dolls. They could also have a page with your original reservation and then when you place your order. And the picture of what it shows you when you make all your selections.

We went to Trader Joe’s yesterday. It’s about 100 miles from my house. I was thinking today I’m going to start tracking my longer trips and the places I go and if the BEV would work. Typically when I go up towards Chicago I get gas either halfway there or halfway back. I decided not to get...
