We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

    Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

    How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

    This is a very good question and I had to think about it. If I have to wait longer so be it. I am looking at this car as it being for the long haul again. My Wrangler will be 15 ish when I get my Scout. I would rather wait and get exactly what I want than rush and compromise. As for cost...

    I can be there. Just let me know. I just added up in my head. We bought 4 new cars in 2022/23. We spent $8,000 on dealer markup and at least $5,000 in required dealer addons we didn’t want like LoJack and Simonize. I am happy to get up and make my voice heard as well.

    It says when you install that top to make it a SUV there’s some sort of airbags built into a piece that has to be installed and it has to be installed correctly in order for the vehicle to turn on. I’m sure it has a place but I just know it’s not my cup of tea.

    Rear wheel drive. No thank you. And I just read a blurb online that they are going to make it so easy to work on you can just do it yourself with their videos even for warranty work. They are trying to get customers to do their own warranty repairs? No thanks.

    I’m sorry maybe $15 for what they are offering. You can get cars for about $20 that have way more than that. I know they aren’t trucks but Hyundai and Chevy have cars in the low $20s. I think it’s the crank windows that get me. Come on.

    I’ve only looked at this briefly and it’s just too stripped down for that much money. They are saying $20 but really it sounds like that’s after the $7500 tax credit. So $27,500 and you don’t even get power windows or a radio. No thanks. And don’t get me started on how it looks.
