  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Say hello to the new Scout® Terra™ Truck and Scout® Traveler™ SUV

we need soooo many more colors! The Scouts weren't dour angry cars! They were kinda-goofy tough cars that could do anything and have a blast while they did it

    What did you reserve?

I got the Traveler - I sure hope they are better on the order/delivery timeline than they were on the start of the stream! My Flex has 280k miles on it already

I hope there are more color options by the time we actually place orders. The ones shown in the customizable equation on the website are gray, darker gray, silver, darker silver, and copper. Please give me lively colors! I see a green and a blue and a red on the bench above that - I hope those...

New Scout To Be Revealed On October 24, 2024

yeah I'm a little sad about the headlights. I miss the personality of the old Scout headlights. But it will probably grow on me. I figured that would be the hardest element to get just right (personality wise)

New Scout Trucks To Be Revealed October 24, 2024

I really hope it isn't a white SUV - I know that was all we could see in the video but white is soooo boring and doesn't seem to go with the image they have been trying to present. White isn't a playful, rough-and-tumble, retro/modern color. To me, it is the color of a car that is bought by the...

New Scout To Be Revealed On October 24, 2024

it would have been neat to have a tailgate (hood gate? front gate?) there to let it be easy to get things in and out but also have more flat space for camping or whatever

Little things I find annoying with my current car (lights, wipers, A/C)

Thanks! I have a Ford Flex currently and it has the two speeds. Before that I had a Volvo V90 station wagon and it had one of the infinitely adjustable settings for the rear wiper and at the high speed it was flying! It helped so much. I hadn't thought about the auto high beams - my Flex is...

Little things I find annoying with my current car (lights, wipers, A/C)

I don't think any of these are big enough for their own thread so I'm putting them all together. Just some things I would love to see taken into consideration - Rear wiper - please give it a completely adjustable speed and make sure there is a significant difference between the slowest and...

Guess who drives an IH Scout II? Tim Walz

I thought it was great - I love how he relates to people and it wasn't a promotion so I don't think you have to worry about him taking something he shouldn't
