  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

It’s still ugly. I’m also betting the wrap -in part-was to cover the back pieces they added that probably aren’t finished so quick was to make it look legit even though I bet it’s just 3-d printed and probably not structural. Maybe all the folks demanding 2-door electric trucks can buy these 😀

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

Agree but that power charger looks like it could be a great grab and go feature for those with sticky fingers. Would almost be nice to put a rubber sealer entry right next to the exterior outlets on side of traveler. That way it’s under the port door. Maybe it could be worked that way but...

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

That’s interesting for a bit of energy but I’d be worried about the moisture seal leaking over time with the charging cord needing to go into a trunk and being compressed over time. Otherwise if you camp or live in AZ this would be worth it to some people

Ford model T approach for colors 🤣

Looks like a rip off of a defender meets Bronco. Can’t wait to see the range at that price. Not my cup of tea. I think I’d have just done a bright paint job and sat a stuffed animal gorilla on top. The wrap takes away from seeing the lines but props for a unique preview gimmick

Scout Concepts going to IH Scout & Truck Nationals June 13-15, Springfield, Ohio

Yeah. As close as you are you need to commit the time because seeing those beasts in person is just mind altering. As great as the pics are they still don’t do it justice

    More Pondering

Still not sure where we are getting two different sizes. It was noted the prototype has 35’s and I think it was noted so off road suspension, both of which would make vehicle(s) taller but I’ve heard nothing about two different sizes

When were we told it was bigger-other than tires and suspension I must have missed that in the threads

Scout Concepts going to IH Scout & Truck Nationals June 13-15, Springfield, Ohio

I’m seriously considering it. If we could get a group (small, medium or large) to go I think I’d consider it. It’s just over a 7 hour drive for me which is all but my limit if by myself

    More Pondering

That’s what steps are for 🤣. She is shorter because I had commented on that to Jamie at the reveal after seeing it. I told him if she’s 5’-8” or so that’s a very tall truck but in person it’s not over the top. The prototype has the 35’s and I think Jamie noted a bit of off road suspension but...

Somebody else had asked similar and Jamie seemed on board 😀

Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

I’m 100% on board for the cow tipping sound. That was such an iconic sound for its intent

Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

Being in Lancaster county we have those sounds all around so we’d need other animal sounds like hyenas or elephants 🤣

The required safety sounds should be an industrial shredder grinding metal to scrap 🤣

    Future plans for after-sale updates

I think on the manuf side you are 100% correct @THil08. But thinking 10years after purchase spending $15K and probably $1500 or more in labor (especially if Harvester) I just have to imagine a trade in makes more sense but selfishly I don’t keep a car more than about 8 years and by then the next...

    Future plans for after-sale updates

Out of curiosity-why? Just wondering. Thinking when battery ranges hit 600 range you could swap out? Knowing battery pack is probably over $15K I would think it might be more cost effective to just trade in on a new one unless you are thinking 15 years after purchase

Scout Connection Center Columbia, South Carolina

Gene Reginald-still remember that name on the CP certificate. Had a bald one 🤣. Was thinking a lot of the production photos could theoretically be stock but just date and time added on the page. Then the only couple fresh pages they would need would be post paint pics (again-probably could be...

Thanks for doing your part in helping SM and other EV manufactures get a step closer to changing the sales approach for all car buyers

Was thinking. During your online build, would you select a $100 option to have a 20 page booklet that is images of your personal vehicle being built. Maybe an intro page with some renders like Jamie shared the other day then 8-10 pages of progress shots then maybe a shot in front of the factory...
