  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Finally a major chain read my mind. They will win big on this.

    Scout Color Poll #1

A flat black traveler harvester with the red gas cans and some red calibers would be AMAZEBALLS but I’ll never buy one due to keeping it clean but I’ll drool over the people post every time. Someone did a Bronco in all black that way (Pinterest maybe where I saw it) and it looked great!

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

There’s gonna be an option for the flux capacitor-limited edition, comes with a hover board and a tattered white hair wig. The UX lights up like a jukebox with an entire playlist. Jokingly aside-wow-the UX looking like a jukebox box front would be a cool idea-or better yet-8-track BABY! @THil08...

That’s definitely a story worth following. Because if the I-5 can make it imagine what the Scouts can do

Welcome to the forum. If you dig around a bit (or a lot🤣) you’ll find all kinds of cool stuff on the forum. I do recall they are looking at an elongated needle sweep speedometer option as one of the screen options. Check things out. The search button will become a great resource for searching...

I like this but starting to wonder if you work for this company? You seem to only start threads with vintage Scouts for sale. Just curious?

Anybody remember this Ford/Ghia concept? Always loved this car. Always liked the exterior cable/wire line. That would solve the solar wires around the Scout 😀

I like a lot of the lines on this and interior is nice. Like the rear lighting but front lighting is a bit heavy handed in my opinion

Doesn’t matter where I purchase, I have to pay PA tax. Clothing yes-but not cars.

    More Pondering

That said I’d LOVE to see a Scout ad with an Amish family in it. Will never happen but would be amazing to see

Quite frankly with the hurt EV drivers have put on Tesla, the other EV manufacturers should get same said people to start protesting the brick and mortar dealerships. Start only buying cars from EV friendly states and make it known outright!

What confuses me is, as a PA resident I can go to Delaware, purchase and I pay PA sales tax instead on DE. So why can’t a SC resident order online from dealer in NC and have it shipped to SC as a delivery experience. I realize it may be a bit more difficult but with less than 100 dealerships...

Fools. They stand no chance and if this early they believe it can only imagine how fun they’d be to deal with during a sales transaction 🤮

Same here but to date the Terra is advertised as having operable rear window

    Rear Window

Welcome to our happy Scout home. As a tip we offer often is the search command will help you find all kinds of cool info. With 2-1/2 years of chatter there are days worth of great thread reads. Those of us who have been around here awhile are always happy to offer input if you have any...

Having seen it I agree that it’s probably too tight though I’d love it

Good in theory but would fear seal failure over time. RVs aren’t running roads anywhere close to the amount of time a daily driver does. Gotta think the water/moisture wear and tear will be detrimental but if they can design it properly or similar to a gas cap and cover with self drainage
