  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Things to Avoid

Absolutely, I can relate to all of these as well. This is a very good list.

    Non-Scientific Science

Good catch! Yes, I did see that mentioned in the comments.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Thanks for sharing. That’s a good article on a cool story! “Something to replace the horse” :ROFLMAO:

Off Road Camper Van - "Teepee"

I’m definitely down to see what Scout Motors could come up with in this space! Yes!!!

    Non-Scientific Science

🤣 I must’ve blocked that part out due to trauma. Say no to crack, kids!!

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

Thank you for sharing these stats, this is all very interesting and helpful. (y)(y)

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

I’m in for this one, thanks for sharing! I love road trips. I also very much enjoy the adaptive cruise on my current vehicle, so I have to ask: Does your Lightning have adaptive cruise? If so, do you use it and do you like it (does it function/behave well)?

    Non-Scientific Science

These guys have fun videos and I thought some of you here might get something out of this particular one. There’s not really any actual science going on and it’s all lighthearted fun, but for me there were a few takeaways and I even learned a couple of things.

    Off-Road EV

This is worth watching if you have about a half hour to kill and like to get off of the beaten path. Some good thoughts and perspective here.

    Re-think Headlight Design

Thank you for mentioning the snow build-up concern. It’s a real thing and I hope it will not be overlooked.

    Harvester Talk: Q&A

You win. We can now end this thread until official details come from Scout Motors. You’ve covered all bases. 🤣 I vote pull cable.

    Things to Avoid

I am in agreement with ALL of this.

    Harvester Talk: Q&A

I hadn’t thought of it exactly like that before, thank you. I still hope the Harvester can somehow provide enough power to the battery to keep going on gas though. “Gas and go” if you will…for those long trips, towing duty, or way-out-in-the-bush adventures. Holding out hope that can be a reality.

    Accessories Poll For Scouts

I completely agree. I use my onboard air quite often. It’s more versatile than one might at first think. Usually I’m just airing tires back up after an adventure (having this ability is priceless), but over the years I’ve used it for many everyday tasks as well. I think “robust” is what I...

    Re-think Headlight Design

I have to agree here. These come across as two completely independent, unique, and distinctive designs. I also agree that you’ll never win everyone all at once. It just won’t happen. If Scout Motors had used round headlamps, then you’d have part of the crowd saying “meh, good job...

    Things to Avoid

I’d like to stack on that again and say please also give us the option to have the other seats come on if we choose, not just the driver’s seat.

FJ Cruiser filled the need for 51 years of missing Scout

Dang that sounds like some good times, I love it!!
