  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Beautiful previews of Traveler on 37's + winch off-road bumper + roof rack 🤩

Ohhhh okay I’m coming from a very different situation then. I get it. I’ve seen the bro trucks with pristine undercarriages. Around here there isn’t much of that. If it’s modded, there’s usually a reason and it gets used as there’s plenty of opportunity. However, I’m not going to tell...

Beautiful previews of Traveler on 37's + winch off-road bumper + roof rack 🤩

There are some of us who modify our vehicles for function and actually use them off pavement quite often.

2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger's Production Timeline Leapfrogs the EV

I agree. As far as the new Charger is concerned…the reviews I’ve seen thus far range from “who was this built for?” to “what is this mess?”. Yikes. 😬

2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger's Production Timeline Leapfrogs the EV

Wow, swapping the production timelines for the two vehicles… This actually seems to be a solid strategy and I’m watching the situation closely as it is a somewhat similar formula to the Harvester as I understand it. The Ramcharger’s proposed 690 mile top end range estimate is nothing to sneeze...

    Questions about the Harvester

Chowder-head :ROFLMAO: I love it. So true. I agree, I’ll take the range hit. Definitely worth it.

    Questions about the Harvester

Agreed, this is my guess as well.

    No regenerative braking!!!!!!!

Same here, I use my brakes as little as possible. So in a way I’m driving “one pedal” as often as possible until I need to decelerate quicker or come to a stop even though I’m not in an EV. It’s just how I drive. I find the “gas or brake only” style of driving very inefficient and even to the...

    Harvester Talk: Q&A

    Yes. Please.

    Non-Scientific Science

Well I guess that again confirms the whole “for best results, tow charge in reverse at full throttle”. :ROFLMAO: So I guess since zero is zero in the Rivian, they should have made sure to leave a little charge as to not kill everything and then try tow charging in reverse. Would be...

    Non-Scientific Science

I appreciate the warning. I’ll check it out later tonight when young eyes and ears are asleep and in a different room, thanks. :)

    Non-Scientific Science

Very interesting read, thank you for sharing as I had not run across this one yet. Flat-tow charging with the Rivian in reverse. I mean it still makes sense, but parts of me puckered on reading that. 😯

    Non-Scientific Science

Thank you for adding that note, so very true. The same goes for me most likely as I do not currently have a tow vehicle to flat tow with anymore. While I’m not ruling it out at some point again in the future, I doubt that I could/would afford a motorhome with a sufficient tow capacity for a...

    Non-Scientific Science

Well yes - but I’m more interested in the aftermath, how they dealt with it, what worked and what didn’t, and how the two vehicles performed in similar circumstances because that’s the kind of real-world information that we often don’t see shared around. I didn’t really get the impression they...

    Non-Scientific Science

I hope they do as well.

    Non-Scientific Science

That was on the Rivian. Kind of a bummer, seems like they need to have a redo on the whole trip.

    Accessories Poll For Scouts

Yep, I have to agree about the whole wrenches part and I’ll add to that - Scout Motors please, please, please design the vehicles in a way that is friendly to aftermarket designers and engineers. Don’t make it difficult on the aftermarket. If it’s difficult to design for, the aftermarket will...

    Non-Scientific Science

Alright…anybody else give the video a watch by now? I’m surprised nobody mentioned the whole tow charging thing or the death of a 12 volt battery system. I thought for sure there’d be some discussion surrounding those at the very least. The whole tow charging situation even made me think of...

Towing Behind Motorhome - Flat Towing

Competition breeds innovation so who knows what might happen if more companies jump in. Probably the biggest thing working against Scout Motors in this area will unfortunately be sheer weight. The weight of an EV will already eliminate it as an option for a certain portion of the RVing public...
