  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Keep the weight down please

Well, since the budget is blown let’s just go with graphene and be done with it.

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

I’m not really interested. I love to drive. I do want to have adaptive cruise control though as that greatly decreases fatigue for me on really long road trips. I might consider some sort of lane keep or other features for long highway runs as well, but am not to the point of exploring any...

    Optional 37” Tires

Yes. Agreed. There have been whispers of this being a possibility, but nothing confirmed yet as far as I’m aware.

Hot take: 18-22" Wheels on Base Model

I’m no help here because 18 inch wheels are already too big for my tastes and intended use. I get where you’re coming from though, I hear you. Options are good because everyone uses vehicles in vastly different ways and locations. It seems that more options could help with appealing to a...

fun features for the younger and digital generation who mught have never met scout of the old days (speaking from such perspective

The only item from the list I might be inclined to use would likely be #12. I currently have a removable in-car Bluetooth speaker and find it quite nice when working on a project in the garage, changing oil, cleaning, detailing, etc. I would not use it when camping since that’s my relax...

Does Scout Motors Need A Challenge Coin Too?

Yikes, no kidding. “Most effective retail distribution network ever…” Hmm, so that’s how it’s viewed I guess. All I know is given the choice to avoid the deceptive, dishonest, and fraudulent practices I have personally dealt with at many dealerships over the years - I will without a doubt...

Terra was wearing BFG KO3 35X12.50R20LT tires at the reveal if I remember correctly.

    Terra - Roof Top Option

Yes, I have seen a regular metal roof option discussed multiple times on the forum. Maybe it will be the standard configuration.

    Scout Traveler/Terra RC Rock Crawler?

I’d love to see a Traxxas TRX4 with the new Traveler and Terra bodies. The platform is solid and their clipless feature is great.
