  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Haha I didn’t think of the Yugo! 🤣 Although I was getting Volkswagen Golf and Scirocco vibes when I first saw the Rivian R3X.

    Accessories Poll For Scouts

I completely agree. A design that was conceived with the aftermarket and various mods in mind is worth its weight in gold.

    Things to Avoid

Has anyone mentioned rear windows that don’t go all the way down? 🤣

    Things to Avoid

Yep, same situation with the Tazer and Jeeps.

    Things to Avoid

Yes!!! I absolutely hate this with a passion on new vehicles. I completely agree with you, please don’t add this to Scouts. If you absolutely must add it, please give us the ability to disable it. I’m not aware of this being a mandate. It’s even more irritating when you’re in a situation...

US Dealer Slaps $20,000 Markup On VW ID. Buzz

I’m not claiming it’s not competitive because I’ve never researched whether it is or not. I just do not agree with vehicle pricing these days. If that’s how much the current production and technology actually costs, I guess it just may be a case of me personally not being willing to pay that...

    Integrated Trailer Brake Controller

I had to do the same in our Tundra as well as our Wrangler JK. Definitely not a fan here either. Didn’t look great, was sometimes in the way and uncomfortable, wasn’t exactly convenient, etc. I’d love to have it integrated instead for several reasons.

US Dealer Slaps $20,000 Markup On VW ID. Buzz

I’m not seeing it. Even the MSRP is lunacy to me. Admittedly I am not down with current vehicle prices in general though as I just don’t think the value is there in most cases.

    Turning Radius

Agreed! I added an upvote to this thread so we can hopefully draw Scout Motors’ attention to it. A tight or class-leading turning radius would be a huge deal and a great selling point in my opinion. It would be great to have in everyday driving for many reasons and could be downright...

    Accessories Poll For Scouts

I’d like to note that when I vote for rock rails, they can be very multi-functional. There are many examples out there that not only provide rocker protection when off road, but they also double as a step to get in (without sacrificing ground clearance) and be able to hand wash the roof or...

US Dealer Slaps $20,000 Markup On VW ID. Buzz

I absolutely cannot stand the dealership experience and I avoid it at all costs. I’d rather just keep my old vehicle forever than have to deal with the entire day experience of purchasing a vehicle. The only way I have found to get around some of it is to not even step foot in one without...

    Super Bowl Commercial?

Hmm…apparently I need to find some foam and make my own brick. Thank you for the tip.

    Love the Nostalgia

Good point and I agree. If I had the means to make it reality, this is the route I would choose.

    Integrated Trailer Brake Controller

    I completely agree.

    Super Bowl Commercial?

No, it’s not a terrible idea. Not at all. But…….while I would love to see a Scout superbowl commercial, unfortunately I would rather they spend the money in other ways and try to preserve a lower priced Scout when they finally come to market. I like the other publicity stunt ideas that would...

what's this in bed of Terra

Well said. I definitely agree. Designing the vehicles with modifications and the aftermarket in mind will go a long way in my opinion. That would be a huge plus.

Beach tires /tonneau options and foot steps and ramp for the rear of the truck to load and unload.

Definitely agree. It’s a solid tire. The KO2 has been a good all around tire for quite some time. The Scouts will likely come with (or offer the option for - doubt it’ll be the base tire) the newer KO3 from everything I’ve seen. I’d love to see them also offer the KM3, but I doubt that’s a...
