  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Ditch the Wheel Arch Plastic

Agreed. It amazing how accents can impact the color of a vehicle. Electric lime green looks great (IMO) on the TRD PRO with some black/red accents. On the TRD Offroad (I think), not as impressive. This is a difficult balance to maintain.

    Removable Doors

Couldn't agree more, I like the idea of removing the roof and doors and allowing the hair flow in the wind on a 80 degree days, truth is, I never did. The roof is too heavy for the center section, the doors are a pain to remove and quite frankly I'm too conservative in my aging years to risk...

    Re-think Headlight Design

Personally I like the design, It wasn't what I was expecting. It seperates itself from the competition with round headlights. At night, I sensed a nod to the "IH" logo as it's faintly looks like it. Not sure if that was intended? One thing will be sure, you'll know the Scout when you see it in...

    Removable Doors

Mounting the mirrors of the A-pillar for Ford was a huge feat! Competition is good! I expected jeep to follow suit but hasn't happened yet.

Future Model: Scout Sport- Smaller, and more efficient, but still capable.

Finger crossed for a 2 door version with fully removable top,if this would occur, curious if the 80/800 or Scout would be the inspiration. I know, we haven't even released the current lineup and here we are already looking forward to future models. We're never content, haha.

    Removable Doors

Most states make it illegal, add that with the number of people of takes doors off and it's a small market.

What are you driving until release?

Nice Land Cruiser, underrated and reliable!

    Rear AC in the roof

If you look at the images, vents are located in the rear in the middle console, not in the roof.

    Scout Color Poll #1

The Red on the Traveler at the reveal was very similar to Tahitian Red on the Scouts of the late 70s. In person, it looked incredible.

    Keep the ol' Scout Too?

    Without a doubt!

    Scout Traveler/Terra RC Rock Crawler?

Haha, the first reaction my son had to the Cybertruck was during a parade where he yell's "Did you plug it in today"?-He's 3. It's amazing what they absorb.

Future Model: Scout Sport- Smaller, and more efficient, but still capable.

I'm all in for team 2door! Just went from 4 to 2 doors today.

Running boards integrated into the lower molding?

Following the reveal I bravely attempted to crawl on the underside to determine where the mount was, it was unclear if running boards were mounted to the frame or not. I say bravely as the security team was on hand to ensure any spectators were not pushing the boundaries.

    Terra Race Truck

Oh man, you're lucky, I tried to corner him but never found that chance. I was telling Chris, seeing him in person was like seeing a celebrity as I watch him his YouTube channel. His channel has evolved my love for Scouts and is a big inspiration on what I hope to achieve someday with my current...

    Feature Suggestions for Scout Engineering

Great thinking, you should run an online community forum one day. ;)

Spare tire carrier - other locations?

    I second this

Scout Dimensions Updated On Our Website

After seeing this, I'd like to see an option to store a spare 35" in the cargo area as it takes up ~17inches on the back end.

Scout Dimensions Updated On Our Website

To add some comparisons... Scout II Width: 65.4" Height: 70" Length: 166.2" Wheelbase: 100" I may add to this to compare against current competition.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

The water tank reservoir w/ pressure so when camping and such you can wash hands, or possibly shower.
