  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

I imagine this is pure speculation but the time frame would match up. Ford had Bronco mules out two years prior to their unveiling and probably 3 years prior to their production run. Seems like alot of testing for vehicles of this nature takes place in high altitude areas. TFL often spies these...

Hot take: 18-22" Wheels on Base Model

Just a matter of preference, my early trucks Bronco, Scout 800 and II all had/have 15" wheels, two with 35" tires and I love it! It's all just a matter of preference, like choosing your favorite brand/flavor of potato chips (Mrs. Vickie's dill pickle).

Scouting the Road Ahead With Scout Motors President and CEO Scott Keogh

Interesting that this was hinted at, selfishly I was hoping for a two door, removeable top but understand the demand may not be there. Seems the interest is in the larger SUV with 3rd row options.

Hot take: 18-22" Wheels on Base Model

I'm all for less steel more rubber, 17" wheel, 35" tires is the sweet spot.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

In this article, Jeep Willys, Ford Bronco, Toyota Landcruiser, Scout, and Chevy Blazer are all mentioned. All hold a foothold in the market, too bad Chevy hasn't caught wind of this offroad market.

Are factory deliveries for reservation holders being considered?

I imagine this would be just exciting for those who are involved as it would be those purchasing to see the reaction on the customers faces. Seems like those involved are very passionate about their product and would be gratifying moment to see those first orders being picked up.

    Jeep Recon

Each vechicle serves it own purpose, when I think of doors off, I think this is great for the trails more so than road driving. It's great to have removeable doors for easy access for getting in/out and visibility. I don't foresee the Recon reaching that demographic, I could be wrong. Most...

The reveal of the Scout Traveler SUV and Scout Terra truck concepts ushers in a new Scout era - Official Press Release and Photos

Not for the intended purposes. The only place I can think of needing a quick acceleration is perhaps on an on ramp at that pace.

Swore I’d never buy an EV, then Scout happened

Seeing more and more manufacturers using this slope in the rear windows. Kia Tasman, Ford Ranger and Hummer to some degree, and as you mentioned Rivian. This isn't Scout following their lead, it's Scout reaching back in the archives and pulling the design feature from the Scout II rear windows...

Swore I’d never buy an EV, then Scout happened

I agree, spot on analogy. Wranglers may be too rugged for the mass population. Levi's fit the need for work, play, and formal conditions- much like the original Scouts that could be used to plow but fit the need to take the spouse out to a nice dinner when cleaned up.

Swore I’d never buy an EV, then Scout happened

Wait till you see it in the flesh, it looks good on paper, but better in person. As far as the Terra is concerned, I keep hearing feedback that it looks like a Rivian, I'd disagree, it looks more robust and stout. The body lines are phenomenal and the rear flick is a perfect touch, if Scout...

South Carolina Scouts! Your voice is heard: Direct sales bill gets a hearing on Wednesday!

Thanks for posting this video. Cody, a remarkable job speaking on behalf of the SM group and representing the consumers as a whole. The second speaker had the opposite impression, he seemed to focus on how this would selfishly impact his dealer and the 150 employees of his dealership, not for...

    Modular and upgradable components

I have a 2017 Tacoma as my daily driver and a 24 Bronco, it amazes me how much technology has changed since that time. I feel that the Tacoma which I consider fairly newer is outdated. Doing this may hurt the new car market as this is likely a strong influence behind a new car purchases.
