  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    360 camera

Per the engineer I spoke with, a front camera is already in place and 360 views are in the works. In the studio area, a front camera display illustration on show which captured the terrain ahead.

    See Traveler colors

These spear decals will look incredible, I think moreso on the Terra.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I didn't have the guts to try to look at the rooftop, It was questionable for me to look underneath, security had their eyes on those interested and rightfully so.

Little flick on the back of the pick up bed?

Yes and it looks incredible! Look at the rear bed of the truck and you'll see alittle cut out similar to the Scout 80/800. It's the line right above the rear fenders.
  5. OleScout

Love bench seat, but it needs to fold down.

I believe the center does fold down.

    Scout Color Poll #1

In the studio design, the attached image was on display. It looks like a metallic brown sugar like color, maybe something similar to metor shower that is on the Landcruiser? This looks gray with gold flakes, I bet this would look incredible. Also, if you dive into the vehcicles you'll locate...

How much personalization/modification ability do you want to see in the new Scout?

I'm already thinking wheels too, Nomad has a nice spinoff of the steelies that i'd consider. Some of the legacy Scout's onsite had theme. Also, the pre-productions had KO3's how incredible is that!?
  12. OleScout

    How many cup holders?

Never enough, I plan on going aftermarket and getting the window style cup holders, I'll buy a three pack because they tend to fly out at unexpected times....:D
  13. OleScout

White and black top options for Traveler and Terra?

A matte black on the Terra would look incredible.
  14. OleScout

    Switches and Knobs?

A nice nod to the Scout II is having the AC vents in the lower section of the dash like the one pictured in the center. Also, I think the center console may fold forward to create a flat working surface. Also, a slide out tray is located on the passengers side which is nice too.

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

Gotcha, that I'm not sure about.

    Decoding Reservation Numbers

Haha, you're a better man than me, I would have let this go on for awhile.

    Flat Tow?

I'm curious if the Terra will have the ability to gooseneck tow/5th wheel, I understand that the Rivian can not? Full disclosure, I don't intend to but I'm someone will be wondering this.

    Ideas for Scout Engineers

Not sure if that's possible with the clam shell type rear hatch.
