  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

I agree for MT as well. This map shows DC fast chargers.

    Interior Lighting for Traveler Rear

I really like good lights on the inside of the lift gate. Some subtle lighting along the cargo area walls would be good. But it needs to not be on while driving so it’s doesn’t reflect on the windows at night. A good, removable flashlight back there would be cool.

Three sizes. Either 32 or 33, and 35. The other was not mentioned. However, they also discussed 37s fitting with removable fender liners.

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

I suspect many more will switch to BEV as we get closer to launch. More will do so after launch when real world reviews start coming out after launch.

I should have stated more clearly, that I hope the Pirellis are not an option. The KO3s are definitely on the list. My tire choice is an aggressive looking on road AT or All Season. I hope it is a Michelin.

I generally like Pirellis. This tire might even be made in their Rome, Georgia factory. But, sadly, Pirelli is majority owned by the Chinese now. I hope this is not the choice for Scout.

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

I would recommend jotting down your day to day and your maximum long distance travel that you plan to do. See what that looks like and how often. Put those trips into Plug Share or ABRP and see where the chargers are and what the estimated wait times are. I would probably pretend you have a...

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

I will keep driving home this point. You will do more daily routine travel than road trips. With at home charging, you will wake up every morning with roughly 280 miles of range. That is based on properly charging to 80% for day to day use. That should be more than sufficient and very...

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

If you are already thinking you may not "need" the Harvester, you probably do not. You still have a while to do your research, but I suspect you will switch to BEV based on your comments.

I am a truck fan for the real purpose of trucks. My business has many trucks in the fleet. I own a Jeep Comanche. But, not so much for the giant, luxury, trucks out there today. I know that comment will anger some, but it is my opinion that these vehicles have become too large, dangerous and...

Interesting. I don’t have any hands on experience with the early Scouts. What an odd quirk.

I actually have the dimensions on a sticky note on my desk comparing it to my current BMW iX. The Traveler is 4.1" shorter in length (no tire carrier), 9.57" taller and 2.45" wider. The width is the main issue. I have a very tight driveway and it might not work for me. I would guess that the...

I'm aware. It is also fairly close to the Rivian R1S. I was at the reveal and was a bit surprised at how big it is. A little nip and tuck would be great for my intended purpose.

I hate you had that experience. The Traveler is really good looking, but I agree it is really big. Maybe a smidge too big.
