  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

How about a cheap version that i can actually take offroad

I have a strong personal opinion that we will see something like that with the rumored two door version that’s been discussed.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Ha! Great question! I have no clue. I have left it unlocked since day one just for convenience sake and the same reason you stated. The port itself locks with the doors too. That is important though as someone could technically unplug you while you’re charging.

Are Randy and Deven still on the design team? I think I remember meeting Deven.

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

To be fair, it’s warmer where I live and it’s flat ground unlike where @R1TVT lives. But I suspect that more people will see numbers closer to the 2-2.5 like he is seeing. Yes, my BMW is not a direct comparison in any way to the Rivian or Scout. But, here is my April efficiency for reference.

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

I think you are correct that the BEV version will be way less complicated. It will be a good choice for many if not most including me. I share your hope for 3.5 m/kWh, but aerodynamics and tires will play a big role in making that difficult. I have a BMW iX that has a drag coefficient of 0.25...

I really do not know what to think about that concept.... But, good for Genesis to try it.

Let me correct my earlier statement. I love a Subaru Sambar!

I'm not a huge Subaru fan, but I think this will check a lot of boxes for those that are fans.

I’ve personally never had an issue. Although I do try to avoid it if possible.

    Welcome and Introductions!

Welcome aboard! That's a cool story. I'm a second generation owner of a tractor and equipment dealership. We had IH in the 80s and that is what I grew up on.

How about a cheap version that i can actually take offroad

Back when ATVs/4 wheelers first became popular in the 80s I remember my dad thought it was the best thing since sliced bread because he didn’t have to take his truck in the woods or mud when he was hunting. Indeed the utv/side by side is often a way more capable off road vehicle. Also, if you...

    Dealership cartels - horror stories

We do not operate like this at my equipment dealership in any sort of way. The pricing structure is completely different than it is in the automotive world. But, many buyers come in to see us with their hackles up from bad car buying experiences. We have to try extra hard quite often just to...
