  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Welcome and Introductions!

Welcome! I'm in the same camp. Nostalgia purchase, mostly, though for me, my current Tundra will be approaching 10 years old when the Scouts arrive, so it will be time for a new vehicle anyway.

Thinking of a looooong road trip as an intro:

This is what I do too with my Tundra. I have a set of Yokohama dedicated snow tires on the factory wheels that i swap on for the winter, and a set of Continental AT tires on aftermarket SCS wheels that I put on for spring, summer, and fall use. Keeps the nice wheels in good shape too, not being...

Thinking of a looooong road trip as an intro:

I bought a Cadillac CTS-V new in 2004 when they first came out. It had a Corvette ZO6 engine and a 6 speed manual and a lateral G meter in the gauge cluster. I may have tested the lateral G meter a few hundred times in empty parking lots. The factory performance tires didn't last 10,000 miles...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Welcome to the forum. They have talked about the Scouts being capable of plowing, and they may even offer a plow as an accessory. I believe there was a picture shown at some point of one equipped with a plow, perhaps at the reveal event. Personally, I think I'll continue to use my 68 Scout for...

    Emotional connection without engine sound?

As a lifelong gearhead who put 40 Series Flowmasters or glasspacks on all my vehicles when I was younger, I shared some of that concern. Heck, I had a 1970 Cadillac with a 472 in it that I put headers and Flowmasters on, and it was my daily driver for about 4 years. However, I recently test...

Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

^^^This^^^ Every time I see pics of the Terra it reinforces in my mind the fact that I made the right choice. Early on after making my reservation, I considered switching to the Traveler because of it's instantly recognizable design as a Scout. Seeing each pic of the Terra makes me realize...

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

Welcome to the forum. You've got it right. The Harvester will have 150 mile battery range and 350 mile generator range. Full EV will have 350 mile battery range. I think you made the right move switching to full EV. Since you have the diesel truck and plan to keep it, might as well use that...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I recently test drove the EV9 and it's really nice. I can see a pickup version selling really well. Now, back to resisting the urge to lease an EV9 for the next 2 years. Lets see, practical reasons not to go to the Kia dealer today: 1. You don't need it. 2. You should save your money for...
