  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Seats made for americans.

Maybe a bit of both. Ha ha It seems that the firmer my body gets from exercise the more uncomfortable to see becomes. Double edge sword.

    You're lucky.

    Self-driving integration with Open Pilot.

Most vehicles are electric steering these days. There may be a direct linkage to the steering wheel but it's all electronic motor assist and not power steering hydraulic assist.

    Self-driving integration with Open Pilot.

Level 2+ is basically what I'm talking about. I don't want to have to touch the steering wheel. Which is what they're going to have in the scout. I just thought it would be really interesting for something like open pilot because it can advance on its own outside of the manufacturer. A buddy...

Just for fun…Have you named your Scout already?

All my cars are named Daisy.

    Seats made for americans.

I have a 2021 power boost and they are just okay. I've heard the prior F150 generations were much more comfortable. My buddy has a 2019 2500 Dodge Laramie and those seats are really comfortable.

I like that scout is giving options of bench seat and bucket seats. What is really important to me and, I think a lot of people, is that they are comfortable. Americans have more seat time than, I think, just about anybody else in the world. Overall we are also heavier than we are supposed to...

    Harvester towing

I absolutely agree and it will be a deal breaker for me. I'm not buying a truck that's not capable of towing more then what a medium size SUV would be able to tow.

    Self-driving integration with Open Pilot.

Adaptive cruise control makes that not a problem. And the assisted driving takes all that stress away. That's the nicest thing about it. Once people use it and figure that out they'll see how much more relaxing it is to drive long distances. It's incredible how much stress it takes off of you...

Totally agree and adaptive cruise helps with that but super annoying.

    Self-driving integration with Open Pilot.

I never realized how good it was until I've actually used it. And now I don't want to be without it. It makes things much better. People are worried about falling asleep but you can listen to audiobooks. Mount your phone on your dash where you can see the road at the same time and actually watch...

    Self-driving integration with Open Pilot.

It can use both. It can use the vehicles radar sensors and all that that a manufacturer might use for driving assistance or it can just use cameras. They have a comma 3x device that just has cameras and watches your eyes. I'll be installing that device in my F-150. Everyone that's used it says...

And just for the record. I appreciate all the input opinions and discussion on these forms. I am very happy to see that Scott motors has representatives paying attention to the forms and that they are participating. Thank you all.

    Self-driving integration with Open Pilot.

So I have a Ford F-150 hybrid now that has the copilot assist 2.0. which means I have to keep pressure on the steering wheel constantly. I drove a 2024 with blue crews where you didn't have to touch the steering wheel if you're on a road with two lanes heading the same direction. I will tell you...

    Self-driving integration with Open Pilot.

So that's essentially what Open Pilot is. But I believe it has the ability to go full self-driving because it's a living advancable software. It is only limited by what the vehicle is capable of as far as hardware. It would be great if you guys would look into integration with them. I think it...

    Self-driving integration with Open Pilot.

So if your vehicle came with the ability to do it if you decide to download software would that be a problem for you? I think it would be more of a problem if life circumstances changed and you found yourself having to drive a lot for some reason. And then you wanted it and didn't have the...
