  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    More Pondering

The dimensions on our website are concept vehicle dimensions. So they are subject to small changes as we go to production. Also, the off-road package vehicles will most like sit taller than other trims.

Scout Concepts going to IH Scout & Truck Nationals June 13-15, Springfield, Ohio

Shouldn’t be an issue. The hard part is that the interiors are really fragile so we have to limit people getting in them. Otherwise not a problem.

    More Pondering

Actually, I met the actress that played that part and I would guess she was around 5’6”.

    Colorado Event

Thanks for attending. This is exactly what we need to convince the public and legislators that it is time for change.

Scout Stories: Back to Baja - Sean Barber Returns to the Mexican 1000

Our design team worked with Sean on that. Was a fun project. We will have an open topic for the race and will give daily updates when we can. We have a photographer, video and drone and writer along with the team. We will do a story on the whole experience as well as a video piece on it. Jamie

Always nice to take a break and post something here. Looks like this design mockup got a black roof instead of the concept version getting a dark silver color.

4th Annual IH Scout & All Truck Nationals 6/13/25-6/15/25

No worries. Which interview did you watch?

It is the same size as the concepts. I'm guessing it is the wide angle lens making it look smaller.

Scout Stories: Back to Baja - Sean Barber Returns to the Mexican 1000

The last time the Anything Scout founder raced Baja, disaster struck. Will fortune favor him this year? https://blog.scoutmotors.com/back-to-baja-sean-barber-returns-to-the-mexican-1000/

Scout Stories: Colton Steven's Scout Obsession

Fort Wayne? Looks ok to me... :D Not sure how that made it through the edit process, but thanks for catching it. 🍺

4th Annual IH Scout & All Truck Nationals 6/13/25-6/15/25

We did post it in our official events section, but cross-posting it here as well is fine: https://community.scoutmotors.com/threads/scout-concepts-going-to-ih-scout-truck-nationals-june-13-15-springfield-ohio.2227/

Here are a couple of photos... The design buck doesn't have a drivetrain in it, no interior, doors that don't open and composite exterior panels that can be painted with automotive paint.

There is a design buck of the Traveler on display in our ground floor connection center (for a limited time). The connection center is open during Fireflies home games on Friday and Saturdays. Otherwise when the ballpark is closed, it would be hard to see it from outside the building.

    Keep "International" name plate

It is a bit complicated and better that everything remain independent. Volkswagen bought Navistar back in 2020 and added it to VW's truck division Traton. About 3-6 months ago, Navistar was rebranded to "International" (technically International Motors). So for now, we keep the Scout brand name.

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

Love that you all wanted to drive by and see progress. Plus it looks like you got the first public photos of our training center. That said, this is an active construction site with a LOT of heavy machinery moving around. Security will ask you to leave if you try to go on the property itself...

    Scout Color Poll #1

It is hardly segregation. If the ladies want to have a place to chat, that's totally fine.

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

Duly noted and heard. We were just talking about this topic in a meeting. :D
