  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

I agree with what you're saying, and I think we all want that. But I am sure it's going to come down more to part reduction and simplifying manufacturing rather than offering a-la cart optioned builds.

Same! This is exactly why I select on my UI to filter out and only show me chargers to Rivian, Tesla, or Ionna because I'm not paying any additional subscriptions either. However, in emergency situations I will clear the filter and hope there is T2P when I get there lol!

BEV is always the way to go. 🤙

Tesla is typically the most expensive, but to be fair, Tesla would've been better if I was a "member" but I'm not paying for a membership when I hardly ever supercharge or roadtrip. But I very much love Ionna, they have fantastic locations, good amenities, and most of the time they're the...

Hey @cyure here are my charging stats from charging overnight Friday night, leaving my house Saturday morning until the time I returned home. Btw it was 210 miles one way from my house to Scout. Last picture is only my drive home from the event I didn't remember to log my drive there (was too...

Tire carrier included. The R1S feels like a limo next to the Traveler and much shorter too. As for the width I think it feels wider too. I drove my R1T to the event and I could definitely tell my truck is smaller than both of the Scout models.

Cabana all the way! I've had a glass roof for the past 5 years and they get hot inside. Not to mention it makes the AC system work harder and thus puts additional strain on the cooling system which uses a lot more juice in a BEV. Of course the solution is to put a shade over it but that's a...

Pretty much all. The Hummer is super wide and the Traveler is more narrow but I think it's just as tall especially with the roof rack. However, the compared with the R1S the Traveler is wider but the R1S feels longer and like there is so much more body than the Traveler. But one thing I loved so...

Just as interesting is what would this look like without the carrier. I'm sure it will just take a different filler panel, but the liftgate itself is probably notched out for the swing arm. Two different liftgate part numbers perhaps?

Saw this post the other day showing potential third brake light placement. Also, I think the lighting will be signature enough and I think there is a chance we don't get the lit up Scout emblem on the spare tire carrier because if people order one without it, the cost of manufacturing surely...

After hearing some many complaints about the R2 charge door panel alignment just look at that charge door panel alignment its absolutely perfect! It will have to have V2L (vehicle to load) capability but looking at the photo showing the outlets it appears it will.

I don't hate this, but I am having severe anxiety over the thought of off-roading with the windows down and having to clean an interior like this Appreciate the assist Sir 👊 I hope so too cyure, the placement is unique and beautiful. I'm sincerely hope it makes production!

Gonna need an additional parking space to swing that carrier arm out 😅

100% getting the rack and 110% if it has lights built in lol I call it a SUV for the fact it doesn't have a bed and there is another model that is an actual truck. Also, I'm from the south so a truck must either have a truck bed, or more than 4 wheels lol!

Good luck they are a well trained bunch so be prepared to get a lot of maybe's lol I love these pictures cyure. The main reason is the clear attention to detail and thought that has gone into the placement and choice of functions for the buttons. This to me does not say "concept" it says early...

Yes Ma'am I'm already talking with the wife about it. I think it would be really cool to take the Rivian on the trails and showcase a bit of BEV off-roading  🤙 Oh man that is a heavy burden to bare, but if I do end up going I will try my best! I took a picture in my earlier post of the...

Sold! :ROFLMAO: Thanks for clarifying Jamie. My wording there was driven more about excitement than factual hence the lack of quotations lol! I will absolutely be selecting as many off-road options as I can as well. Please don't mention this, I'm still having flashback from seeing squatted...

Again, it was mainly just if's, but's, and maybe's but IMO the best answer I can think of is the cabana top. I think we are absolutely going to get it but I have a feeling it will be quite a pricey option. Additionally, I was told that the A/M options are going to be insane. Now whether that...

Thanks! I love the color too and I agree that we need to get away from the neutrals but with the roof being cream and separated by the black trim it brightened it up more than you'd think looking at it. Also, and I'm sure cyure can confirm this but this "grey" really lightened up outside in...

True, it could also be yellow I suppose but I would definitely say its the defacto standard.
