  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Drivers not happy with their car screens

I use RA for pretty much everything now. It's gotten so good about the only physical "button" I use now is on the steering wheel for volume control, and speed/following distances while in UHF. Fan speed I leave in auto and I leave the passengers to fend for themselves lol!

Scout Concepts in Cambridge, MA, October 16-18, 2026

Southerner here, so I have no clue what I'm talking about in regards to this conversation, but I'll chime in all the same lol! I've always thought the Midwest had to be West of the Mississippi?

Drivers not happy with their car screens

I get what you're saying and I originally was worried about the screen dimensions too. But then I felt the same going from the Tesla screen to the Rivian and now I prefer the Rivian screen. However, I dont like Rivian OS 2. I liked the previous version much better with the bars on the top and...

Sunshade Slider for the Roof and RGB Lighting

Previously Tesla employee, Model 3 owner and current Gen 2 R1T owner without the monochromatic roof here. Additionally I live in the Georgia where the temps and the humidity in the summer make you wish you weren't born lol! But I agree with you on the open glass roof that companies need to stop...

    Brake pedal behavior: Preference?

Great call out! When the battery is 100% the vehicle will lower the regen strength because the battery is at max capacity and wont take the additional energy from the regen. This will catch you out the first time it happens once you become reliant on the regen for slowing and braking.

    Brake pedal behavior: Preference?

I never even touch the regen option on my truck. I set it and forget it. I only use the brake for pulling into my garage so I can get close enough to the wall for the garage to close. However, even then the truck emergency brakes because of the sensors being too close to the wall. 😅

    Scoutlandish Podcast premieres TODAY

Podcast was AH-mazing! Y'all got NDA'd?! No fair....I knew I should've gone to that event :ROFLMAO: Seriously though, I know there will be people that will stumble onto that podcast and think it's just three random people talking about this "Scout vehicle that is supposedly coming", but I wish...

    Rivian R2 Experiences

I use UHF everyday on my commute to and from work for about 20 miles straight each way and it doesn't do that on my R1T. But I've seen some videos online of the R2 steering wheel shake in UHF and its pretty bad indeed. This is supposed to be fixed with the new update 20226.36.0 to R2 and R1's...

    R2 Launch Watch

They have made this changed based on all the Youtubers who have reviewed the vehicle and in true Youtube car review fashion they all say the exact same thing. This was a bad move from Rivian IMO because so many of these reviewers aren't going to even own the vehicle. The other Rivian owners on...

    Scout's comin' to Cambridge...Wicked pissah!

Welcome to the community! This is one of, it not the most heavily debated question we all want to know the answer to here on the forums, and the one that keeps some of us up at night. :ROFLMAO:

    Halloween Fun!

Honestly, I've said it before but I hope Scout does a 4th of July update or something similar. I think since Tesla has Christmas, and Rivian has Halloween, Scout needs to do something more in line with the brand imho. However, a Friday the 13th camp theme sounds awesome! Also, I can't wait to...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Honestly I will be shocked (but pleasantly surprised), if Scout is able to launch with the "cheaper" version. However, given the track record of all of the other EV start ups, it's not likely to happen. Profit is the name of the game and it's a lot easier to go in that direction by releasing the...

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

Standard Range is basically the same thing but with a smaller battery pack, no subwoofer, and no tow hooks on the front. Everything else is pretty much the same. 🔋 Gen 2 Standard Battery (2025+ Models) The Gen 2 Standard battery features completely updated cell chemistry and architecture to...
