  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

As we get closer to launch. Feature Requests & Real‑World Feedback for Scout

About 75% of truck owners in the United States tow a trailer or load once a year or less (or never at all). This means roughly 25% of truck owners actively tow more than once a year, while about 7% to 12% tow on a regular or weekly basis. Breakdown of Truck Towing Frequency Infrequent /...

Sunshade Slider for the Roof and RGB Lighting

My point exactly. It will be show stopper if it can get the cabana too.

    Size comparison

Thanks @eringer these are all fantastic comparisons and really provides a real world picture of the size of the Traveler for those who haven't seen them in person yet. For me the conclusion from the comparison is the Traveler is going to be exactly what I want for my next vehicle. 🤙

Sunshade Slider for the Roof and RGB Lighting

Personally, I think if the Terra can get the Cabana top it will sell twice as many units, and I think SM feels the same way so they will try everything they can to make it happen. If they will or not, only time will tell.

    Scoutsie does Boston, 10/15 & 10/17

@Scoutsie you may not think you're a photographer, but this is one of my favorite pictures of the Traveler so far (even with Dahlia gracing us with her presence lol) and BTW I mean absolutely no offense @cyure or to your husband for that matter. But the captions are by far the best part :ROFLMAO:

Well I pen striped my Rivian 6 days after I got it and loved every minute of it lol! After being in a Model 3 for 3 years, the first thing I wanted to do, (and why I got a Rivian in the first place) was to go offroad and haven't stopped since. I plan on christening my Scout on the same trail and...

    Size comparison

I like the idea of the full EV comparison for sure. I think Traveler v R1S v Hummer EV SUV v idk maybe the Escalade IQ? I'm thinking more of the larger SUV's as I consider Traveler to be a full size SUV. Unlike the R2, Recon, or similar vehicles that are IMO a midsize and not a good comparison...

    Size comparison

First of all, great chart! It's so much to fun to see the Traveler up against current production vehicles. However, I think there has been one monstrosity that's been left out which for me at least is what I've been comparing Traveler to the most, and thats the Hummer EV SUV. Of which I think...

    Start Up Sound

Welcome to the community! I'm full BEV but this is a really cool idea, and if there is one thing I have learned about the Scout team is they are really good about incorporating the heritage into these vehicles. I have no doubt there are going to be many awesome surprises still to come from the...

I absolutely love the profile photos of the Traveler for the simple fact it shows the tire to body gap in the rear is more than the front meaning the it wont look squatted. I was worried with so much of the body toward the rear of the vehicle it would look like the rear is sitting lower than the...

    BeerParty goes to Boston 2026-10-16

I love this picture. Love the rain on the Traveler but also I didn't realize the front bumper stuck out so far you could step on it. Perhaps, to access the hood tie downs (I mean trail guides lol) locations?

This was literally my first thought when I saw the mud. Get them down and get them dirty! Loving the pics of the rain on the bumpers too, makes them feel more legit than ever!

    Halloween Fun!

@cyure just go on socials there are tons of examples, or you could go to a sales center and they have them loaded on the floor models to play around with. I agree with J it is a little cheesy but its also a hoot, and the kids absolutely get a kick out of it. But I do hope Scout does something...

No, I haven't seen anything regarding the Gen3 yet. I have a feeling Rivian will keep it under wraps so R2 gets as much of the spotlight for as long as possible.

Super glad you got to see them finally. Being a long time R1 owner how do you feel now about the Gen 3 R1's? Have you been or are you now 100% sold on Scout? Also you didn't mention the Terra, were you able to see it as well? If so, thoughts compared to R1T? Oh I've seen this before. I dub this...

    Chris Benj aka THE BENJ

I would call them rugged luxury. It's one of the main things that drew me to Rivian over getting CT or the Hummer EV. Scout like the Rivian has this sort of logged cabin in the woods comfort feel to it IMO. They can be stunning on the inside, but on the outside the look purpose built to handle...
