  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Brake pedal behavior: Preference?

I've used one pedal quite a lot off-road and I love it! You just have so much more control and you can be very precise on obstacles. But probably the best things about OPD is on decent the in the Rivian, (maybe other makes as well) but if you start to slide the tires will turn in the opposite...

Couldn't agree more. I'm seriously hoping they make a full BEV version and I hope that the model sells really well so they change it to a mass market vehicle.

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

First, welcome to all the new community members. But yeah thats what I was going to say too J. I think this is all part of the transition of an I.C.E. vehicle is having that extra piece of mind. You're spot on, for so many will they realize how easy it is to live with a full BEV. Hello, Rivian...

    Brake pedal behavior: Preference?

Let me warn you now, DO NOT go test drive a Hummer EV on full regen it will literally throw you into the windshield when you let off the accelerator. However, they are an absolute hoot when you floor it because of how high the front end comes up and the back squats and then the inverse happens...

Same. But its Korean, I want a N Vision 74 as my "fun car" so bad but they haven't been confirmed for the U.S. yet. https://www.hyundai-n.com/en/models/rolling-lab/n-vision-74

I think painted calipers is a great idea, the yellow calipers on Rivians (now teal for Quad) look awesome with the yellow outlined emblems. But orange calipers on Stargazer blue....yes please!

I feel the same way, I can count on one hand how many times I've adjuster my events on my Rivian in a year and a half. I was just thinking R3 might get them for cost saving.

    Brake pedal behavior: Preference?

Most wont go with you on test drives either. I'm sure they will if you ask, but the last couple of times I've driven Rivian or Tesla it was without a sales rep.

Yeah I could see R3's getting manual AC vents but I think buttons is a very big stretch.

    Brake pedal behavior: Preference?

Under normal regular one pedal driving on say surface streets for example, you can be frequently moving your leg or foot depending on the traffic, stop lights, stop signs etc. But as soon as I am merged on the highway I am putting on the adaptive cruise control and getting comfortable.

Same, same, and same. I love my Rivian too, but I very easily chase shiny objects so after a year and half ownership I'm eyeballing other vehicles lol! I am also not ashamed to say that even as excited as I am to get my Scout the moment I hear of a second Gen or new model I will almost...

Same, I picked mine up from a service center too, but I live in GA so now there are several showrooms, (including the one attached to their HQ downtown) and I think you can still only get deliveries from service centers. This makes sense of course because if there are any "adjustments" needed...

You're spot on with the confidence in Scout knowing that Rivian is apart of it. In fact, even though it was pretty much love at first sight when I saw the Traveler concept, once I found out Rivian was going to be involved with the SW and UI, I knew without a doubt it was going to be my next...

    Rivian R2 Experiences

Happy to hear you say that the R2 is a great road tripper. So much negative has been said by "reviewers" about the reduced range, but its nice to hear that in real world use it is still a great vehicle. Can't wait to see it on the AT's.

    Scout Color Poll #1

Loved the bronze wheels so I ran with it, a little gloss never hurt anyone so with my say it loud and proud approach I've created my rolling billboard for y'all to enjoy 😅
