  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    CYURE GOES TO NC!! 9/26/26

Of all the options on the Scout so far, the one I can't nail down a decision is the roof. I may have to wait to test drive before making a final decision. I currently have a retractable moon roof with manual shade. I rarely use it and the shade is pulled shut 95% of the time mostly due to the...

Northeast Florida could be a pretty interesting real-world test for the Traveler

And what about this guy... @Scout948 ? in this thread https://community.scoutmotors.com/threads/local-day-1-reservation-holder-also-interested-in-product-testing.7500/post-70817 Appears he committed to join in the community discussions more frequently, but vaporized afterwards.

    CYURE GOES TO NC!! 9/26/26

I would love to get mine on the 50th anniversary of when I bought my 79 Scout II which was Oct 29, 1979. Since the BEV comes after the EREV, I guess that might be a possibility. Maybe by then, I could drive my Scout II to Blythewood to get my new Traveler and haul my Scout II back home in tow...

Northeast Florida could be a pretty interesting real-world test for the Traveler

There was a local legend Scout 800 pickup owner around here in the 60's named Lawrence Norton whose Scout had dents in every square inch of the body. Not huge dents, but lots of dents...not sure how it was even possible. Anyway, when my dad bought his new Scout 800, Lawrence asked my dad "You...

Northeast Florida could be a pretty interesting real-world test for the Traveler

Welcome to the community from SC! About 2.5 hours NW of Blythewood at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Some rugged mountain trails and river crossings. Hills and valleys. And like @Scout_Lookout, plenty of humidity. Check out Jocassee Gorges.

Yeah. I'm in a similar situation. One of my grand-kid's birthday will probably be celebrated on that Saturday each year. Maybe I'll suggest we move the party to Charlotte! He really likes trucks and would be fascinated!

Scout Traveler Concept with the Bench Seat - First Look

@Jamie@ScoutMotors posted elsewhere that "This is the remote for the winch. It is a one-off piece made for the concept vehicle."

    Update?!?

There's something about this time of year that triggers @J Alynn ... is it because Halloween is near? I mean, he starts inviting folks into his basement, explains how to fit bodies into frunks, etc.:oops: :eek: That's OK buddy. I like the shovel idea...

    Delivery impatience

I wonder as the EREVs start rolling out, if those that are on the fence with EREV vs BEV when they are notified, how many will change their reservations? And just the opposite, those that have BEV reservations and just can't handle the wait and decide to go EREV. Since there is no penalty for...

Scout Factory Extended Warranty?? Can you Beat Ford ????

I'd be willing to bet you can find many debates on the oil change interval with regards to synthetic oil. I change my own oil and I get to "experience" what a quality 15000 mile oil looks and smells. I don't claim to be an expert on the subject but changing oil and filter with Mobil 1 synthetic...

I'm surprised the new concept still has the "pass-thru" sidelights / taillights. Wasn't it mentioned that probably wasn't going to make it to production? I like the look...but it may be impractical.

    CYURE GOES TO NC!! 9/26/26

I really hope your Uncle Scottie has adopted all of us as his nephews and nieces. I had a brief opportunity to speak with Uncle Scottie at the Blythewood event. Such a cool dude. Although, I'm guessing Uncle Scottie is probably younger than I am, but it's still a possibility if it is an...

It appears that the bench seat may be the star attraction for today's event, especially for those who have seen the concepts before. EDIT: Now I might have to get a dog! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
