  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    20-24 mpg

My assumption is that 24 MPG is the 350 extra miles (500-150) divided by 15 gallons of gas (speculated gas tank size).

    20-24 mpg

That isn't how the system is being described. The only reason a person would drive 150 miles on 100% battery just to drive further on gas with a dead battery would be because of a personal decision to override the system logic. If a person has a 400 mile trip planned, the EREV will want to use...

    Torn

Thank you for this. You never cease to amaze me with the time you put in to your posts. That's really similar to what I had planned out in my head. The spot I usually camp/wheel is near Arrington, VA. I plugged it in to ABRP and it's in the middle of a hole when it comes to chargers. Other spots...

    Torn

Given your experience with EVs, I'm curious about the towing. With your lightning, what would you expect the timing to look like to tow a Wrangler on trailer (6000 pounds) a total of 250 miles? Nearest charger to the end point (campsite with no power) is 30 miles away.

April 2026 Scout Production Center Update

It's amazing how far out we were when I saw it on the horizon and said, "oh there's Scout" 😂

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

This. Each version of the Wrangler used to be distinctly different. Now they release a "special edition" every other month that is nothing more than paint and a different color cloth insert on the seat. I just don't understand how they continue to sell as well as they do.

Not really sure where else to post this. Flew over the site today.

    What buyer type are you

I voted for the 2 that represent me the most and apparently I'm in the minority since both now have 2 votes total. Though I think the demographics on the site in 2023 were probably more long term Scout enthusiasts vs people who have come here because of design and capabilities. Using me as an...

New Traveler Color Concept - Satin White Traveler

As always, thanks for replying directly Jamie. I figured it was real since it's being shown in that color.

New Traveler Color Concept - Satin White Traveler

I know they are showcasing this color live in SC now, but is the image posted a rendering?

    A Gift From Scout Motors

I received mine a few weeks ago. Jan 2025 reservation and I believe my address was in the entire time. I did change from EREV to BEV sometime this year. The gift showing up caused my kids to get excited. Any time a car conversation comes up, my 7 year old can't stop talking about how our next...

Looks better than the new Pacifica

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

I initially reserved the EREV as I was hoping to tow my Wrangler to the trails. Distance to the trails would be very inconvenient with an EV so the option of gas and go sounded great. Even the 150 mile EV range of the EREV, my plan was to charge at home once a week. My wife and I just don't...

    Harvester Capless Fuel Fill Door

My 16 Grand Cherokee and 19 Pacifica are both capless. Love it.

    Ideal Small Sized Vehicle

Just because a company can shove enough battery in, doesn't mean the tech is there. The IQ weighs over 9000 pounds compared to the standard Escalade's 6000. Base price is $130k (Motortrends "as tested" vehicle came in at $151k) vs $94k (Your chart appears to error at $77k). So the electric...

    Ideal Small Sized Vehicle

Something a little bigger than the TJ Wrangler and smaller than the current model. I would buy a 2 door personally, but would expect a 4 door to sell more units. Soft top and/or removable hardtop. 250 mile range. I honestly believe there is a market for an EV Wrangler/Bronco. People don't buy...

    Future smaller SUV

Jeep Wrangler sales are the same. I say 2 door, but I really mean a smaller variant offered in both. I would personally prefer the 2 door, but the Traveler would be my daily driver. I'm not sure the market really wants a bigger EV until battery tech takes a leap forward. A bigger 3 row would be...

    Future smaller SUV

I'm still voting for a 2 door soft top model to come next. Something much closer to the 80/800. Model year 2031 would be perfect. My daughter will be 16 and then I could have 2 Scouts in the driveway.

Harvester Battery Stage of Charge Question

Another point about the RAM is that Stallantis has a contract with the union to produce the Pentastar for a certain number of years. I've posted the article here before, but I'm not searching for it tonight. Since their vehicles are moving on to other newer engines, sticking a known quantity...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I've been under the impression that this has been the official timeline for a while now. Maybe somebody is reporting this as a "new" delay? Or maybe the article is referencing the already speculated delay to the BEV and lumping both models in to that? As a January 2025 reservation holder, I was...
