  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout Factory Extended Warranty?? Can you Beat Ford ????

I could be wrong, but Ford's standard warranty is 3 year/36,000 miles. Powertrain is 5/60,000. We will definitely be competitive.

    Scout's comin' to Cambridge...Wicked pissah!

Assuming from your user name you have some firefighter blood in you. If you are a FAE certified chauffeur and we are at an event together, we *might* let you sit in it. :P Loving the Boston accents in this thread. Keep it going.

    R2 Launch Watch

Not a particularly good photo or angle (iphone wide angle lens) of the Mountainside Traveler next to the R2 out at an event in California last week.

    CYURE GOES TO NC!! 9/26/26

One of the things I tell everyone about these concepts is that the ride height isn't necessarily indicative of the actual production vehicles - especially depending on what trim and options you apply to yours. Likewise with the seats in the concept. They are fixed in place and don't have...

Ok, roll call for all forum members attending, so we can get a sense of how many people will be there. :D Should we plan a meet-up at 2pm? Things get started at 1pm and will likely be busiest at 4-6 before main bands go on starting at 6pm. I will be there the whole day either way.

September 2026 Scout Motors Production Center Update

Not 100% sure but I believe one is a maintenance building and the other may be the beginning of the Security and Fire Department building.

    Marketing IDIOTS

I'm not going to dive into trying to correct misinformation as that could be a fulltime job these days. :D Regarding child labor, no reputable manufacturer sources minerals or utilizes suppliers that operate that way - including Scout Motors. I grew up around Scouts and own a 1979 Scout II...

September 2026 Scout Motors Production Center Update

Just a quick note that we may occasionally skip a month or combine a month here and there, depending on whether we can do photography inside the factory. At times we may have proprietary stuff at the factory that we aren't ready/can't show yet. But we'll still have plenty to talk about. :D
