  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Captain Chairs

captain chairs with a midgate like silverado ev would be interesting for the Terra. Add a camper shell and that's legit boondock.

    Luxury EV

I hope none of the trims has those issues but I will say Tesla has one of the best sound systems I've heard.

    Has anyone been inside Terra/Traveler?

    Has anyone been inside Terra/Traveler?

I am really hoping this is the case. I love the space of the Lightning being the same size as an F150 but I will welcome the Tesla technology back lol.. I just want to make sure I can fit in it. (tall and shoulders) xD

    Has anyone been inside Terra/Traveler?

I think they are about the same with the interior front area. How would compare to Rivian's "truck" or Suv

I didn't see it. Would you say it's the same size as a Rivian?

Scout Motors Needs to Rethink “Local” Service. Don't do the Tesla model.

That's correct. Scout has an opportunity to keep those costs down for repairs to avoid the Tesla problem. Doing this "should" keep the insurance down. Plus. Not having to drive hundreds of miles for service is nice. Feel spoiled driving to Ford. I miss the intelligence and software of Tesla...

Scout Motors Needs to Rethink “Local” Service. Don't do the Tesla model.

It was a wake-up call for me when I first called around. I found myself jumping between insurance trying to keep the best rate. From the Tesla forums, some people fared better and worse. The repair costs were often way too high compared to say Toyota or Ford. The Lightning should cost twice as...

From a Tesla and Lightning Owner: Here’s What I Need to See from Scout

For the upcoming Traveler and Terra—please add built-in air quality sensors. People will no doubt camp and boondock in these. Display real-time CO₂ levels on the dashboard or app. Auto-adjust ventilation (e.g., temporarily switch to fresh air if levels rise too high). Alert you during camping...

Scout Motors Needs to Rethink “Local” Service. Don't do the Tesla model.

I want to make sure that Scout has thought this part through (I'm sure you have but it never hurts to double check). I got rid of the Tesla bc the same would have cost me 2400 for 6 months. 22 Lightning Platinum (should cost more but it doesn't) and Rav 4for 640... No brainer.

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

Yes I want FSD This video goes a little bit into lidar

    Full time dash 360 cam

I’ve been thinking about this lately. Tesla includes a USB port in the glovebox, and you can plug in an SSD—many owners use it for always-on Dashcam and Sentry Mode. If the Scout had a similar setup, it could unlock a seamless 360° surveillance feature.

Scout knows who they're competing with. I'd imagine they'll have a performance version.

From a Tesla and Lightning Owner: Here’s What I Need to See from Scout

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1D44CzFcct/ I've raised this issue with Tesla multiple times and never received a clear answer. And to be clear—I'm not talking about the manual emergency door releases. I'm talking about the glass. This isn't just a Tesla problem. It’s not even just an EV...

I get where you're coming from, but many of us transitioning from Teslas and Lightnings are looking for a vehicle that can deliver both performance and utility. There's no harm in letting Scout offer a range—slower aka maybe larger battery models for those who prefer that, and sportier versions...

From a Tesla and Lightning Owner: Here’s What I Need to See from Scout

Yes, 30-40% from the advertised range. Agree, Tesla is the worst offender. I am pushing for Scout to be successful. That's why I'm here ;p
