  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

HAHAHA! I actually installed an L2 charger at the lake in my father-in-law's shop (what we call a massive 60x40 garage up here)!!! The problem is the route between the lake and home (Twin Cities). Once you're about 2 hours out (just far enough that if you stop too early, you still won't make...

YES!!! That is utterly amazing! The NASA edition, which I would totally buy!

    Infrastructure

You're not wrong. The non-Tesla stations can be extremely questionable. Ionna is really good too though. Frankly, I think they are a better experience, though not nearly as available. I will not fast charge anywhere else other than those two. Scout will use NACS and you should have a CCS to...

I'm totally in the same boat. I don't want to go back, even to an EREV, but my familiar circumstances will require it. We have one ICE (my wife) and one BEV (me) right now. My wife wants to stay that way. My in-laws' lake cabin is about 4.5 hours away where I have to drive across rural America...

Concepts on Display at the Whitewater Center, Charlotte, NC October 10th

Thanks for the quick response, Jamie! I think for me, it's just close enough for me to get really itchy. You all are working so hard and we're going to start seeing the fruit of your labor here in the year to year and a half! It's so exciting that I want more opportunities to see Scout's work...

I'm just hoping that the Harvester gets a legit 150 miles on 35's (unlikely, but I can hope). I only use about 65-70 miles per day for my commute, but it's worse in the winter. I don't want to switch from my BEV but I can't wait for the BEV so I'm getting the Harvester (well, I CAN wait, but...

I'm going to get a bit salty here, but can the non-East-coasters/non-EST-time-zoners get some love here, Scout? I know it held an event in Seattle and another in Chicago (on short notice), not to mention the LA Auto Show, but everything else seems extremely East-coast biased. No offense to you...

    First meal in your Scout

I keep mine neat. No trash. I always shudder though when I vacuum it out and remove my six year old's booster seat. He's not nearly as fastidious as I am. 🤷‍♂️

This is part of the problem with EV adoption. Most people have range anxiety anyway. Then they get promised that the EV will travel "x" miles and when they see they don't go anywhere near that far, they feel like they are being lied to, making them even more resistant to adopting EVs. The same...

    CYURE GOES TO NC!! 9/26/26

I'm SO looking forward to a compass where you can actually see it! Physical is even better. Rivian buried their digital compass on the driver display in the top left hand corner right behind where the steering wheel blocks the view. :cautious:

Thank you, @cyure. Here he is. This was shortly before he passed. He was 10, so he had a good life. Worst part was that my son is six and he and Newman got REALLY close the last two years. This is a picture of Newman waiting in my son's "fort" for my son to wake up in the morning so they could...

I'm with @THil08 ! If it goes back to $20, I would sell. I thought the R2 would make the stock go through the roof. No luck yet!

    CYURE GOES TO NC!! 9/26/26

My concern is how tight of a squeeze that would be with a standard 7' garage door. Not to mention parking ramps that I'll already have to be concerned about even without it!

I'm so, so sorry for you loss. They are part of the family. I lost my English Bulldog Newman back in June. It's not easy and I still miss him.

If you could ask Scott Keogh one question….

I think there was some strategy behind how long before the launch Scout revealed the concepts. I wonder if needed to gauge interest to some extent. If you're going to build what turned out to be a $3 billion factory ($2 billion estimated) to build a specific vehicle, I think you need to be sure...

Looks like there are three seat icons on the dash buttons/toggles. I'm struggling to understand what they are. There just might be massaging seats! If you look at the three buttons on the left and three on the right, those are the seat controls. The middle of the three is heating, the right is...

Scout Traveler SUV Green Off-Road Concept

My only potential concern with the PacMist is how silver it will look and how often. I have silver now and have had many shades of black, gray, and silver and want a little more color. A PacMist that would be blue and stay blue might be preferrable to me.

You've seen the Silo Green in person. How close would you say it is to an army green? It has metallic flakes, I know, but generally?

If the winch fob doesn't come with bear spray, I'm out. I can't buy a truck from a manufacturer that doesn't care about my personal safety.
