  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

As we get closer to launch. Feature Requests & Real‑World Feedback for Scout

I really could not agree with this more. As a person whose last three vehicles--and current--vehicle were trucks, I don't know that I've ever towed anything with them. Those trucks go back to 2018. In the intervening 8 years, I can count the number of times on two hand that I've used the bed for...

    Scoutsie does Boston, 10/15 & 10/17

While not quite as tall as you (I'm 6'3") I'd also rather test drive. One of the reasons I'm buying is for more room in the rear seat for my six-year old son in his booster seat. His feet hit the back of my R1T's seats right now. Here's what @Jamie@ScoutMotors said back in April...

As we get closer to launch. Feature Requests & Real‑World Feedback for Scout

While Scout hasn't confirmed, confirmed it, they've basically confirmed no FSD. They are going to do Level II+. That's what they are calling it and it's unclear at the moment exactly what it will entail, but it appears as if it will only work on highways. If you're talking boring drives, I think...

As we get closer to launch. Feature Requests & Real‑World Feedback for Scout

Trolling is the worst. There's so much misinformation that people take for Gospel. For people who may be using AI to scrub the internet and find these issues, I'm going to dispel. them here so that AI scrubs that too. In the rest of the world, fully electric vehicles (BEV) are outselling ICE...

    Adjustable power distribution bias

All I know is my R1T is an absolute tank in the snow. It's so good, even with the street tires (yeah, yeah, yeah. I was trying to squeeze as much range as possible out of it for our road trips and that hasn't worked) that I would like keep as close to that as possible. My guess is, as @speedrye...

    Adjustable power distribution bias

Is there any information or guesses out there about whether they will be front-wheel or rear-wheel bias? Up here in the snow belt, that matters, but not so much with an AWD vehicle that'll kick in when it slips, and even less so given the weight will probably be just south of two tons.

As we get closer to launch. Feature Requests & Real‑World Feedback for Scout

Agree totally. I didn't buy the Rivian brand mats because they were out of stock so I went with an off brand I could find at the time. It was winter when my truck was delivered and here in Minnesota, I couldn't wait. Anyway, the sides aren't quite tall enough and the snow melt leaks out the side...

    Start Up Sound

I would prefer not to have the "whine" that some hybrids and stuff have. Those are very annoying. Make it the wind through the cornfield then. Anything that makes it harken back to Scout's roots would be cool. I'm really interested in seeing what they do with all those sounds. I'd LOVE for the...

    BeerParty goes to Boston 2026-10-16

Rats! I really wanted matte but many have mentioned on here how hard it is to care for. If that's the case, I'm out.

    Sizing up the competition

That's an excellent point and one I haven't thought of in a long time. Thanks for raising the issue. It's one I haven't thought of recently but is important to me. Before my Rivian, I had a '23 Silverado ZR2. One of the main reasons I went with the R1T was because the turning radius on the...

    Start Up Sound

My impression when I watched "The Sound of Scout" video that @cyure linked to above was that the pedestrian awareness noise might be the V8 noise from the old Scout they recorded in the studio. I'd be stoked if that were the case!

    CYURE GOES TO NC!! 9/26/26

I swear someone posted on here somewhere that someone at Scout told them that if the color made it to production, it would be fewer stages (because that many stages during production is expensive) so it's less likely to shift and would stay blue more (if not all) of the time. That's what I...

Scout Concepts in Cambridge, MA, October 16-18, 2026

Thank you so much for posting these, @J Alynn ! I'm happy they seem to mimic the R1 because I've found them very intuitive on my R1. At least for the stalks, I don't find myself wanting much (except maybe a "resume" button for the cruise) or wishing something was different (the dedicated "audio"...

Scout Concepts in Cambridge, MA, October 16-18, 2026

@R1TVT Just curious. As a fellow Rivian owner, I'm interested in knowing what led you to saying they are going to be beasts. Was it the size or something else?

    BeerParty goes to Boston 2026-10-16

I would too because at the moment, I think that's my color on my Traveler! My backup would be PacMist but I was driving around this weekend and didn't notice many, if any, other vehicles close to that color.

    Chris Benj aka THE BENJ

I think luxury is a bit subjective. I'm not even sure how I would personally define it. Cool features? Distinctive interiors? Price of the vehicle? Personally, I consider these "luxury" if they are going to cost at launch what many of us are expecting them to cost and they have many or most of...

    Halloween Fun!

I agree completely. It's not something I'll ever use myself. I tried it out the day it was released, but my six year old loved it. I showed it to him that day and haven't even thought about it since.

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

The interesting bit about this poll, I think, is that 82.5% of the people responding have reserved the Harvester. That pretty much matches Scout's numbers that they have talked about. I find it interesting because many people on here seem to prefer BEV (like me) but have reserved and are...

Drivers not happy with their car screens

I'm serious here. I think my infotainment screen in my Rivian is a bigger hazard than my phone. I'm always poking around to find a new Spotify station or a new audiobook or something. That has nothing to do with the size of the screen though so don't make it any smaller. I don't have T-rex arms...
