  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

How would you build your Scout?

I think the carrier would come into its own on the really long trips where you're just cramming the vehicle full. That said... I'm pretty sure between the rear and the frunk the Traveler would have more room than our Atlas with the 3rd row down. So the carrier may be a moot point anyhow.

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

I can't even "keep up" half the time. :ROFLMAO:

    Google Gemini AI Scout Images

Absolutely. I'd like something more like my profile picture, but the silo green is so nice.

Sorry for the crudeness... but I couldn't help but think of this Beerfest moment.

    CYURE GOES TO SC!! 8/22/2026

My shade of green is definitely more in-your-face green than the Silo color, but at the same time I love this one in every photo I've seen. In videos, everything it just looks fantastic to me. I'd gladly take this if it was the only green available. Also, I think my logo in all orange would look...

    INFOTAINMENT CDBTER SCREEN

Legitimately... I would have been A-OK without a screen at all, but I realize I'm likely the stark minority in that.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Personally I'm more keen on that 10k number so that when I tow a 7k trailer it's not maxed out. I wouldn't want to max it out.

    CYURE GOES TO SC!! 8/22/2026

Truthfully all any of us would have to do is look at any other full-size truck offered and see the huge amount of possible configurations. I think simplicity would be better, but that also likely means more packaging.

    CYURE GOES TO SC!! 8/22/2026

There's a few more things I could see them making optional. - Aux switches - Rear center vents - They could do different towing levels. One option just with the 2" hitch, one heavier-duty. - They could make the rear-roll down on the Terra optional (I hope not) - Exterior Lighting - Wireless...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

The overall range is what has always gotten me too. I was seriously looking at a Lightning at one point, but when real-world results were getting about 90 miles maxed out I realized I would be able to only make 3/4 of my round-trip in a day with the trailer I was towing. It was a TFL video...

    CYURE GOES TO SC!! 8/22/2026

I detest the idea of yet another thing to have a membership to... especially if you're talking having multiple to make a trip happen. Just seems silly to me if 90% of the time you're charging at home.

You know what else I like to see beyond the fact that there’s this nice “flat” dash? I like that there’s actually quite a bit of upper “lip” to protect the screen from glare.

Scout Terra, please don't let me down!!!

I'm hoping too. The run to the beach would be so much nicer open-air. As would the trips to the mountains I'd like to take.

It's just you and me, brother. Though I won't need a pizza cutter for winter down here where I'm at, hah.

    CYURE GOES TO SC!! 8/22/2026

I think that's a huge point to make actually. Yes, we all expect them to have more expensive versions available initially (launch edition, etc.), but if they come out the gate with ONLY those more expensive versions available, they'll be called out for it, as they eluded to with you.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Looking at @cyure recent photos I hope that the folded down bench seat doesn't lack some of the features of the console version. The phone & cup locations are fantastic. If all I'm really missing is the trays forward of the seats that would be great. I'd think it would help add to the simplicity...
