  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Mostly the nymph stage are all over my hydrangias. We've tried everything environmentally friendly. Dove and water seem to work, but that's not preventative, you have to spray the actual fly.

I live in Annapolis. I have so many sail bags. Had a friend who was a sail maker. You knew what Christmas gifts were going to be. Mutual friend had a sailcloth shower liner and his wife had a sailcloth mini-skirt.... Of course, these were all mylar(ish) synthetic-based, not canvas.

OMG - I had read this post first before I started at the beginning to read the entire thread. I SWORE you were talking about PHONE charging ports and it didn't make any sense. ROFL.

I'm for any option that eradicates gum balls from my yard.

I agree about the wood. I'd have to see it in person. Probably would look better with a more solid interior, but tartans, plaids, and this wood... Not quite sure.

I love this build; but, love a tire carrier.

I'd like something a bit in the middle. I would hate to give up a full spare. Most of my driving will be on-road but snow, ice, occasional camping, etc... I wonder how the efficiency changes between these tires/wheels and the trail ready version.

That's the standard PAC Mist (?) PM? My friend was showing off his AI "skills" by putting his house in a VG scene - two can play at that game, and mine has a Scout. The reflections on the paint is cool. AI has come a long way from generating people with weird extra appendages, etc. Then...

That's an awesome name and reference! Although, "Bandit" is a rescue and came from the shelter that way. It seemed to fit.

    CYURE GOES TO SC!! 8/22/2026

Is this a real thing? From Scout? or an aftermarket idea? I can see a sliding, tilting roof rack as much more practical than a garbage truck dumpster tipper-type rig. Especially with a tall vehicle. I was always standing on tires and door jams to put bikes, skis, and surfboards up on my...

Alternately, if you put your bike up top on a glass roof, there is less danger of forgetting it's up there and going through a McD's drive thru and scraping your bike off. I may have ripped a saddle this way... allegedly.

    CYURE GOES TO SC!! 8/22/2026

I've carried bikes on roof racks and on hitch racks. I know I'm being unreasonable; but, I prefer to put my $x,000 carbon bikes behind, or better yet "IN" the vehicle.
