  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

I am curious to see if a Launch Green with AT's on it would do better. I'm sure it wont be long before someone else puts another one on the market, but you're totally right.

The Scout team is way ahead of ya! The flier for the event this weekend said this, Visit the Scout Motors Connection Center to see the Scout® Terra™ prototype, meet the team, and test your skills on our off-road RC course.

Rivian owner here, you are correct, and same!

    Local Scout Event

Yeah I'm assuming that's what they are calling the Scout Motors Connection Center. Which according to the invite you have to purchase a ticket to the ball game as well to get access. I'm only 3 hours away, so I'm going to see if I can convince the wife to go on a little road trip this weekend...

    Local Scout Event

I'm surprised I haven't heard anything about this yet, but it appears Scout is having some sort of a local event at a minor league baseball game this weekend and the Terra Concept will be there with some other fun activities. Anybody going?

    R2 Launch Watch

I always find it funny when people get shocked by things like this, but they don't know anything about when Tesla launched the Plaid Model S they had horrendous fitment issues and they flew in as many body tech and painters to create what was a literal assembly line of working in the parking lot...

    R2 Launch Watch

@Jamie@ScoutMotors to prevent from having the wrath of Cyure come down on y'all I strongly advise not to put any stupid sand paper stickers on her PYB Traveler :ROFLMAO:

You are correct about the preparation being essential. In fact, when I was being taught the painter use to always tell me that spraying is the "easy part" and that the preparation is 95% of the job. However, the paint is the same for both metals and plastics. To make the paint work on plastics...

    R2 Launch Watch

I think what SM has shown on the Traveler with the "off road" bumpers with removal ends and the front bumper winch integration looks fantastic, and should be just as useful for both the trails, and against shopping carts. :ROFLMAO:

Plastic has more "flex" to it and because of this it will bend light much easier whereas a metal surface is rigid and bends light much less comparatively.

Same, but then again you never need a winch until you NEED a winch 😅

First Time EV Owner: Live experience report

The screw is definitely far enough from the sidewall so no problem there. In fact, you might even get super lucky and the screw just be in the lug only on not pierce the actually tire.
