  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Longevity and maintenance Questions

Well, as I said, it is a bit extreme... Now that I have actually seen the Scouts, I'm sure the temptation would eventually override my prejudices. Anyway, some Tesla owners have proven that badges can be removed or hidden if needed! :ROFLMAO:

    Charlotte breakfast 09/26

Wow, I am really missing out! The 26th is like the only day that week I can't make work. And I am SO close.

    Longevity and maintenance Questions

Personally, I don't even consider VW's reliability history with Scout Motors since it is being built from the ground up. The only car that has ever left me stranded on the side of the road was almost 50 years ago when I was driving a VW bug from Atlanta on I-85 with a big hole in the side of the...

    First meal in your Scout

The Lizard's Thicket in Blythewood was mentioned in an old post or two. https://community.scoutmotors.com/threads/december-2024-production-center-update.1420/post-18026 Ever since I saw it mentioned, I wanted to check it out. Next time in Blythewood, I'll definitely have to.

    First meal in your Scout

I am bit off topic but... Being a BEV owner for just under 6 months now, the range anxiety slowly decreases. Of course, short trips there is none at all. Picking up at the factory and driving long distance home for the first time BEV owner, I truly understand that anxiety. I imagine that most...

Charlotte Scout Harvester Festival, September 26th

My guess would be "Yes". Maybe my Scout Encyclopedia lists those stats.

Charlotte Scout Harvester Festival, September 26th

There are so many options for riding in an OG Scout. Different model years, different mods/lifts, top down/up and on road / off road. Truly all experiences I wish everyone could experience. My dad had a Scout 800 pickup when I was a teenager. There were 4 kids and a beagle in our family, so when...

Charlotte Scout Harvester Festival, September 26th

Well said. I get excited just passing an OG Scout on the road or just sitting in a lot with other used cars. It is a rare occasion. When I have mine out, someone will always stop and start conversation about it. It's just fun... I have been fortunate to see the new concepts in Columbia and...

Charlotte Scout Harvester Festival, September 26th

I'm just getting back in the states and trying to catch up in this forum. I know I've missed a lot. I was unable to go to Columbia for the Fireflies event and I have a family event on this festival day. I'm just over 2 hours away and can't go! How awesome would it have been to drive my...

July 2026 Scout Motors Production Center Update

In my opinion I feel like SM getting directly involved with the county responsibilities could have resulted in them being partially culpable going forward. I would expect SM to remain silent on the issue. However, SM does have responsibility of environmental stewardship. It goes without saying...
