  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout Packages sold as after-purchase upgrades...

No manufacturer offers their base MSRP vehicle as a high-line trim. I think our base model will be well equipped compared to competitors on the market. But I wouldn't expect it to come standard with off-road packages, for example.

    CYURE GOES TO SC!! 8/22/2026

I wouldn't say that options will be insane. They will be in line with the equipment and similar to what other manufacturers charge. If anything, adding all the bells and whistles will drive the price up for sure. But that isn't any different than any other vehicle. Off-road packages, for...

    CYURE GOES TO SC!! 8/22/2026

No one on our end said $120k.

    CYURE GOES TO SC!! 8/22/2026

That won't look like that on the production model. The concept is handbuilt and has gone through a lot of abuse. :D

New Scout Video: Forging The Future - Design by Detail

I think with the color grading of the video and the lighting in the original viewing area, those might look different, but they are samples of Silo Green when they were working on it.

Our latest You Tube video in our Forging the Future series is about our Color, Material and Finishes team and is called Design By Detail. It tells the story behind the colors and interior materials used in the new Scouts. Enjoy!

July 2026 Scout Motors Production Center Update

I try not to sound like a legal team as much as possible. :D What we internally call certain phases of our project is an alphabet soup of codes and words and wouldn't make much sense to most people. I try and break down the more realistic pieces best I can. The fact that we are stamping Scout...

July 2026 Scout Motors Production Center Update

Leading with respect for the environment remains a top priority for Scout Motors, as it has been since the beginning of the project. For the past few years, we’ve been working with South Carolina experts to develop programs informed by site-specific biodiversity studies and designed to support...

    Off-topic stuff…

Our design team printed a few of those messing around with a filament 3D printer, so they are a bit rough. We are working on a few things though... :D

    Interior Dimensions

The concepts might give you a rough idea but not the actual production specs.

    Interior Dimensions

We know everyone is anxious for final interior dimensions and I will follow up with teams to see if we have anything we can share. The hard part on areas like the rear hatch storage or frunk, is that final mechanical equipment and sheetmetal had to be sorted out first. Once everything has its...

Updates - moving to every other month?

We will start covering more development news soon. Because we weren't producing Scout sheet metal yet, all of our mules so far have been Frankenstein creations with whatever sheet metal we had lying around to cover them. We didn't want to mislead people by showing one vehicle and then confuse...
