  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

I also hope they narrow the width down a bit. Too wide!

    Scout "Base" by LastDayScout

I edited the title and post to remove the name that Ford so cavalierly applied to their Chinese Bronco.

That is a good color. I would prefer a deeper darker green but I do like that. Is it a specific color green, or is it a prompt? Either way, it works quite well. Scout Motors, @Jamie@ScoutMotors and @aileen.barraza I hope you are seeing this valuable information!

Thanks! Which version do you like more? The all black or part body color?

    Scout "Base" by LastDayScout

There has been a lot of discussion about what a base model should be and what it might include. So, I envisioned a modern base/clear version of the vintage Grenoble Green. It features natural aluminum 18” wheels and BFG Trail Terrain T/A+ 275/65R18 tires, roof rails and two versions of the rear...

I can give it a try, but I’m not 100% sure I know what you are referring to.

I like that quite a bit. Turquoise/seafoam is what I wanted before I saw the concepts. Now, I am more open to seeing other colors as I think the team is doing a great job (other than the matte gray wrap on the Trail Ready). But, this color looks great and I hope they do something similar.

Regarding the leather itself, I agree. The products used to treat and tan the leather have come a long way. They problem is moreso the cows themselves.

Well, that is fine for other vehicles. I certainly hope Scout is different. Funny story about that scenario. I did a heavy spruce up/light restoration on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee XJ about 2 years ago. One of my co-workers bought it for his wife. She likes it, but was starting to think she wanted...

The more I think about this the more I like your point. I hope that the Scout is ubiquitous. I hope that a base model will look just as good as a fully loaded one. They need to be universally accepted and appealing no matter the demographic. Naming the models or trims gives them hierarchy...

Gotcha. The perspective is not so much about "vegan". Cattle are a major land and water use issue. Additionally, they are a major methane producer. Now, of course, if the animals are going to be used for beef, surely use the hide as well for leather. Sheep are actually a better alternative...

I changed the color to make the entire body match the roof. Much better in my opinion.
