  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Popular Common Builds?

I would agree with this. I would also hope they set things up so if a factory winch isn’t fully finished or offered, it could be added after the fact very (reasonably) easy. But something like the glass and cabana roofs almost have to be offered up front. To your point-great profit opportunity...

New Scout Traveler Concept Added - Mountainside Theme

Just noticed on Boulder concept the bolsters aren’t full leather. Usually insert are just rear seat and bolsters are contrast. On these seats the inset goes to the top edge of the bolsters. Really nice touch. Love it!

    FB find of the day

Change the wood inlay to @LastDayScout ‘s walnut and I’d take it. Even in the neutral exterior (which is beautiful)

    Battery used

Welcome to the forum. Batteries (from SM POV) will be packaged to adapt as tech changes but at this time it’s pretty much a done deal to be today’s battery tech. They are already negotiating as close as we are so perhaps an early gen two will happen for a battery change from factory but initial...

    Popular Common Builds?

I think they will be shooting themselves in the foot if they don’t. Just seems some things would be very easy and I guess with what is probably close to 200,000 reservations they know there will be others in line. Can only hope what I want is a configuration they make available

    Popular Common Builds?

I think their market research with every other competitor will be the primary factor. As is clear-we all have ideas of what we want and it’s a lot of variation so their big spreadsheet will tell them what things need to be

    R2 Launch Watch

With my judging it would be great to throw gear in and just keep it there

How would you build your Scout?

Carrier is a given for me. And if backpack can be interchangeable with spare I might consider that as an option as well

How would you build your Scout?

Tires are my open ended thinking as well. Love the look don’t need 30 decible hum driving down the road

Interior Concept: Could Scout Interiors Be Inspired by American Landscapes? — Florida Everglades & Cypress Wetlands

True. But until I can design and build MY bespoke traveler-it will never be my exact build. But love what they are doing nevertheless and I’m sure I’ll get what I love

    Color Suggestions

Another great sample of pale yellow. And great sample of a vehicle I’d like to park next to my new traveler
