  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Never really thought about it, but that shoulder line does make a really nice point to change paint. The bottom character line of the door would also lend itself well to having the middle of the body be a different color. Nice!

And then wonder why (most) people don't want to drive them. :ROFLMAO: heading into an infomercial... "That's what makes Scout so great! Not only do you get the benefits of EV or HREV ownership, but you also get the classically good looks that are associated with the brand from its great...

I think the closest resemblance is the shape of the nose. The way it has the "mask" going on, and the way the sheetmetal tapers back under it to the grill. That area and then the way the door kinks looks like the same kind on the Traveler's back window and the Terra's door. I certainly wouldn't...

I'm getting the vibe at this point that it's not a great design, lol.

If Tesla decided the next Model 3 needed to have the Cybertruck's styling... this is what I imagine it would look like.

    Scouts towing capacity harvester upage?

I'd personally bet they follow more of the RAM setup for the EREV rather than the Scout setup.

I'd never seen a Rivian center, but now that y'all mention it I have seen a Tesla one... so yea, I guess that makes sense, haha.

The only thing about DTC that has me a little concerned is I'd like to be able to test-drive one at some point. Photos can only do so much for me. I want to know how it feels before I pull a $60k trigger. Other than that, I'm totally down with not having to deal with a bunch of people constantly...

I don't know how these are built exactly, but I imagine it's some type of formed tub that's dropped into place. Wonder if that'd give the opportunity for different sized spaces? Not that I see them doing that, but theoretically I think that'd be possible. One could be the "off-road" frunk, and...

Yea I kinda figured the width is pretty well where it's going to be. I can completely understand that. I'm down for whatever extra frunk space can be made! It can only help me pack it to the gills with tools and such. :)

What do you all do? Curious about Scout buyers occupations, or former occupations.

They definitely need relationship counseling after trying to design/build a home, lol.

Thank you, it was simultaneously really fun and frustrating to do all the trimming on that, haha.

New Traveler Color Concept - Satin White Traveler

Yea it would be weird if they had to be separate colors, I agree.

Awesome, thank you for taking the awkward time to do that though! That's one of the things I've been wondering about! And now it's confirmed too, no way it's wide enough to do what I was thinking (doesn't surprise me), but also as it currently is it's not deep enough front-to-back. So, that's...

I was so proud of that one! Obviously, since it's the head-line photo. :D That one was pine ceiling with cedar accents and we didn't stain, we just sealed it. I designed it on Sketchup first, then we built!
