Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

    How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy.     When the Jay Leno interview came out with the 5k towing number, I pretty much immediately called BS. There was just zero way in my mind that they would release a full-size truck with such poor towing numbers. They know they have to be competitive.

    I don’t think there’s been anything said for sure one way or the other. I would guess if they did eliminate any part of that design element it would only be the light bars going across on the lower spec models. I’d bet it stays on higher end ones.

    Knowing the overall opening of the frunk, width, height would be great! I know I have an idea of how I want to utilize that space, but don’t know if it can technically be done as-is. I assume for the most part the overall area will remain mostly unchanged into production.

    Didn’t even get to lose them in a fun way. One time I lost a truck key fob while riding a roller-coaster. Learned my lesson that day to clear my pockets as they recommend.

    Ford offers them on the Bronco from the factory. I think we may just see them on Scouts, too. I guess, I wouldn’t count them out yet anyhow.

    What range are you rated and what range do you see when towing that lovely boat? One of the things that kept me from taking the plunge on a Lightning was the video from TFL where it only went about 90 miles on a full charge.

    I’m really hoping it comes to the Terra, too. I love the idea of a roll-down back window with the cabana and everything. Our Houston summers are like your GA summers, but I’ll gladly take that top for the 9 months of the year it’s decent for it.

    Weird to think Nissan has been doing it in Japan since 2016 apparently. i mean, it still functions like one minus that one step I guess. I’d say it qualifies.

    Honestly, not really sure. I definitely thought that was the most interesting choice. It can’t be as efficient on the electric front, but I would guess tha it’s probably still going to be a 45-55 mpg small SUV, which itself is pretty significant.

    I don’t know if there was any “new” information there though, but agree it was a good watch. Actually, only thing that seemed new to me was talking about how the side markers would have plastic moulding formed to fit the lights into.
