  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Interview with Ryan Decker, VP of Strategy and Brand, Scout Motors

Ha, in science and engineering we often refer to them as "Imperial Units", even though that is not technically correct. 🤷‍♀️

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Wow, thank you for sharing that experience. I found a bit more info on the Rivian Assistant here: https://www.theverge.com/transportation/928651/rivian-ai-voice-assistant-r1-r2 Is the update you are referring to the same one the Verge published an article about just last week? Or is this...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

This could be an actual good use of AI integration. When traveling and you need a stop in the next say 70 miles for charging, food, bathroom, stretch legs, whatever, to have the car find for you along the route something that has all your needs in one stop. Right now on road trips, either my...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Good list, even though none of those would be must haves for me, I like how you gave good reasons for each option for you. FYI, in the Ioniq5, which is EV only, the car is so quiet and smooth riding, it is a completely different experience from an internal combustion car.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Wow, so I am not the only one! Based on where I am parked these days, I'm pretty sure the days are numbered for mine as eventually a critter is going to find it. I hope not though, I always thought it was a cool touch of originality.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Counterpoint: special option for a cardboard glove box in a nod to the originals, and to avoiding plastic. I kid, Scout Motors, don't do this. Really, I mean it. Really.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Around 2008 I went to Europe and was surprised to end up with a Renault Rip Curl Clio as a rental in Italy. I was so surprised I went and found a commercial for it, which I just found again Pretty good commercial. Not a bad description of my surfing either (a lot more talking and sitting in...

What Song Will You Play First in Your New Scout?

Just dawned on me I recently did lease a new vehicle and I know more or less what the first song I played in it was, because it came up on my phone and the salesguy was like, wait, let this one play, I like it also. I know it was Beastie Boys, but not sure which song, probably this one: Pro...

What Song Will You Play First in Your New Scout?

I loved MST3K in college! Well more accurately I had friends who loved it and I appreciated it once in a while. I will have to look more into this when I am more awake and less trying to get work done that was due yesterday.

You might know Metric and not realize it from this song which featured in a popular movie. I've never seen the movie, but I think I get the gist of it from this video:

I don't know that one. And there are so many more I thought of during the day. I'm really liking Metric right now Gimme Sympathy leads to one of the best songs ever of course: Though I prefer the Perry Farrell version But really, I wanted to link this one, it does not describe my hair...

Long running parts supply is an important quality in a company. I wonder if it is still possible to get parts for my first IH (not a photo of the actual tractor, internet image of what i believe to be the same model) The red paint on mine was long gone, last I saw it you could describe it as...
