  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    I’m a stalker, so what

I had to run to Midland,MI, and Novi happened to be on the way. A few thoughts. One, Scout is hiring at a fast pace. I don’t know if they are geared for a move from their current innovation center soon, but the parking lot is insanely full and double parked. I don’t know how they are cramming...

    Any chance on flat four?

With the announcement that the engine for the Scout will be 4 cylinder that the Harvester will be a flat four reproduced because of the air cooled feature?

    The future of electric vehicles

I’m in regardless of incentives. Incentivized adoption eventually has to end, and Scout seems to be pricing at the right entry point.

    Scout as an EV

What is the purpose of trolling the EV Scout on a Scout Forum? You will notice that everyone here either has a reservation for the Scout or are onboard with a fully capable off-road EV.

VW, Audi dealers file suit in Florida to block Scout Motors’ direct sales to state consumers

They will file a lawsuit where D2C is not legal in every state to tie up scout legal…

    Comparing preorders to Bronco sales

There’s a lot of talk on X about if they see the Scout commercial one more time on YouTubeTV, they will end it all. So yes, the ad push has been somewhat pervasive.

    Comparing preorders to Bronco sales

Another comparison point was Rivians 50k sales in 2023.

    Comparing preorders to Bronco sales

I was curious with the announcement of 50K preorders earlier this month before the huge marketing push in the last few weeks. I assume they will likely have 250k on preorder before release with a conversion of perhaps 75% to actual taking delivery (188k). In 24, Ford sold 109k Broncos and 105k...

    Scout Color Poll #1

I’m pretty sure there is not a world where I don’t opt in for rallye stripes. The accent on a solid color combination is gorgeous. Heritage colors all the way.

Winch and Terra Cabana Top Preview?

Haha! I knew you would have the straight answer!

Winch and Terra Cabana Top Preview?

I saw this posted on another forum, so I don’t know the source but it looks like a possible preview of the Terra with a cabana top. Also the integrated winch looks awesome.

    Questions about the Harvester

I'm ok with this...and a caveat that I have not based this on any information about only 150 miles range for Harvester, but changed my Terra option to pure EV. My wife's Traveler will still carry a Harvester option, which I am ok with, but may change that in the near term once actual range...

    Questions about the Harvester

Wow, I can’t believe I missed all of this! I’m out on Harvester option is it means smaller battery powered overall by gas. I’d be happier to take improved electric battery range and would gamble with the 350 mile range to meet my needs.

    Harvester Maintenance

Based on the parts bin, I expect that the engine will be the 1L TSI 3 Cylinder which pumps out a whopping 89 HP, but would be ideal based on its heritage with the EA211 engine. Known to have easy access parts like spark plugs and air filter. Also, the torque output at low rev would make this...

What Was The Biggest Automotive Story Of 2024?

Scout is the biggest story of 2024. I don’t think I’ve seen a brand built back from the dead the way the scout is resurrecting. So much future for this brand!

    Scout II Restoration update!

Heritage blue must be a color choice on the new scouts

    Plywood

Wide enough but not long enough, but factoring in the drop down tailgate with the bridge you should be fine

    Scout Supply Merchandise Live

My wife is about to draw the line on scout items purchased from Scout Supply, but I can’t get enough. The ripstop hat is my go to right now.

    Heads up display

No need for HUD. I have it today and if I had a more useful display, I wouldn’t need it

    Hempwood all day

The choice of interior is so consciously designed, regardless of interior, I’m not straying from that accent choice. Kudos again to the design team. I will struggle with options because the design is part of the brand. Love it.
