  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    CLOSED! Audio System Brand Poll

Dear Scout Engineers, Please choose a system that has higher quality components and don't get tricked into audio systems from big companies that entice you with a high watt amount and a ton of speakers. What you want to make sure of is that the amplifier/receiver that for example Bose or...

    Audio Components

I would not assume anything in terms of the audio system. Most vehicles even into the 100k class, have sub par audio systems . The name of the system does not really matter as MacIntosh found in Jeep or B&O found in BMW etc all have systems that are cheaply made for the auto market . It...

    Gas Powered Range Extender

So, you would have the maintenance of a normal combustion engine plus that of the electric components. Would the extender be working all the time or just as you start to get low on electric power? Thanks for your responses.

Beach tires /tonneau options and foot steps and ramp for the rear of the truck to load and unload.

Yes for beach tires I am referring to wide tires that do not have a heavy mud tread, a paddle tire is one type that performs in thick loose sand etc but it could be an all terrain tire that is wider for more surface area on the sand etc

So what does everyone think of the first new Scout designs...

I love the design. Your team is exceptional ! minus the spare tire location on the back of the harvester. It seems like it. will not allow for a clear visual path for anything behind the vehicle. Perhaps a camera that offers enough of a wide angle might to the trick

    What did you reserve?

I reserved the Terra with the extender. This truck looks amazing. I hope it drives well.

Beach tires /tonneau options and foot steps and ramp for the rear of the truck to load and unload.

Dear Scout engineers, Would it be possible to offer tires specifically for the beach, as well as a tire for the road, not just and off road mud tire. Also, tonneau options and a footstep in the rear and a ramp extender would blow the competition out of the water. Thank you !
