  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Lessons Learned on Range Anxiety

I expect that if it's not happening already, the smart (see what I did there?) gas station owners will begin installing electric charging stations, probably not removing pumps yet to make way for electric, but at a minimum, putting one or two charging stations at parking spots on the side of the...

    Off-Road EV

To qualify what I'm about to say, I was a long time forum moderator for one of the largest off road groups in the US, with around 20,000 members, and am currently the administrator of an Arizona based off road group with nearly 5,000 members. For years, I spent most of my free time either rock...

    Off-Road EV

Mechanical lockers win over electronic torque vectoring when rock crawling. Both the Traveler and Terra will have a much easier time with Hells Gate than that Rivian. It was interesting to see how much rubber was left on the rock in those pretty much perfect traction conditions. Here’s me...

    Brake pedal behavior: Preference?

I had a loaner MB EQS580 SUV for a while while last year my gasser was in the shop. It was an absolutely incredible vehicle. I played with every feature, tried every drive and braking mode. What I liked the most was regen controlled by the brake pedal, even though it definitely took some...

    Wheel size options

It is unlikely you'd be able to fit a 16" aftermarket wheel. It's a heavy vehicle that needs big brakes which will probably be too big to fit a 16" wheel.

What 16 Metro's Will Scout Launch?

Surely Phoenix or preferably Scottsdale will get one.

What a Scout Traveler would replace

Traveler Harvester will replace my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Hemi Trailhawk as my daily driver, and will assume car hauling duties for the '93 Wrangler I trailer to and from the trails.

    Move Harvester generator to frunk

I reserved the Traveler Harvester because I need a daily driver that is capable of trailering my old Jeep Wrangler on the weekends. There are plenty of BEV SUVs and trucks on the market now that advertise a ~350 mile range and are capable of Class IV towing, but all of them experience a ~50%...

    Scout Color Poll #1

I know it's not "exciting" but I would like to see plain ol' white as a color option as well. I see in comments above that is probably going to be an option.

    Accessories Poll For Scouts

I think the importance of an integrated air compressor is understated. It's one of the best tools to have when using a vehicle offroad, if for no other reason that to be able to air your own tires down for better traction and a more comfortable ride on the trail, and back up to street PSI when...

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

Reserved the Traveler Harvester. This is the first consumer BEV that will legitimately be capable of towing another vehicle a reasonable distance. My weekend toy is an old highly modified Jeep Wrangler and it gets trailered to and from the trails. I currently trailer it with my other Jeep, a...
