  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Kansas City Scouts

Here's a little about me. My name is Noah, I grew up in the KC area. I will admit I am a Ford truck fan at heart. I have restored multiple Ford trucks with my Dad growing up and still to this day love working on our old trucks. One of my really good friends in high school had a Scout 80 we would...

    Kansas City Scouts

Figured I'd start a regional group for KC. If you are from the area feel free to write a post and introduce yourself. Thanks and go Chiefs!!!

    September 2024 Production Center Update

One of the most exciting things about Scout is that they are part of the VW brand. I hate seeing cool electric car concepts that never come to be. Luckily Scout has VW and it gives me confidence that this will come to production. I appreciate the updates and being upfront with the whole...

    Scout Badges/Patches

100% agree! Excited to see a good community behind an even more exciting new vehicle. And interested to see what ideas we come up with on here make it to the production vehicle. (hopefully not the frag grenade dash)

    Scout Badges/Patches

See this is why it's important to get an outside perspective lol. This made me laugh and thanks for pointing out the obvious flaw in this idea!!

    Scout Badges/Patches

That's neat!! pretty cool to see some behind the scenes stuff of what you got for going to the reveal! Thanks for sharing. also Love the pins idea as well. Maybe we could see a cork dash instead of the wood that you could put pins on? may not hold up over time but if it was easy enough to...

    Scout Badges/Patches

That's a neat idea!! they could also put a Honeycomb design like @ID_ENG said to help line all the badges up and make everything lined up/uniform.

    Scout Badges/Patches

Similar to Mercedes high mileage badge program and Jeeps trail badges I believe Scout should do a Scout Patch/Badges for different things Including mileage, specific trails, one's signifying ownership of specific Scout models from the past, specific Scout car shows or trail events, and maybe...

What would you like to see in a Heritage Edition?

Interested to see if Scout will have a heritage Trim level similar to the newer Broncos. I am a big fan of the white top/grille and Steelie looking wheels (even though they are aluminum now which is ironic). Would also be neat if they only came in original scout colors from the 80's or 800's...
