  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Grab handle on drivers side A-pillar

I concur with adding a grab bar would be great. My family uses them every time.

    Scott Keogh's 2024 Holiday Message

Favorite part is the tree is plugged into the truck! Looks great!

    Harvester Directly Powering Motors?

That should clearly be a setting in the truck to avoid accidental time travel. Otherwise I am not buying one.

    Harvester Directly Powering Motors?

Pretty sure these only deal in time range. You are still in the same "place" when you use them. I really don't want to go back to 1955 every time I get in my scout... That just seems like a hassle.

    12v Battery: Not an afterthought

That is for when the battery in the fob is dead. When dead the fob basically turns into an rfid/nfc tag. Those are unpowered by themselves and are actually powered from a coil in the phone. It gives the chip in the tag enough power to be able to send it over very tiny distances. This is why...

    Over-the-air-updates?

And hopefully they have a good rollback mechanism if there is an issue with an update. No desire to have to have a vehicle towed because of a failed update.

Option to turn off center display

The screen in my '23 Silverado is decent sized, and not sure I have ever really desired for it to be off. But it does have a dark mode and the brightness can be turned down some. But I don't think it would be a bad thing to have it. Just not sure I would often use it.

A kitchen would be ridiculous, but I wouldn’t be sad

If i were camping multiple times a month I think it would be a neat idea. But in general I don't think things like this are really practical

    240V Outlet on Traveller

The idea of a bi-directional charger is great, until the price starts becoming a factor. I really dislike the forced requirements and hardware to enable it on things like the F150 Lightning. I understand some of it and they are trying to limit liability, but overall too pricy vs me walking out...

I like your style. Who needs to work at work :D

    Travelall 3 Row

When are we getting the Scout city bus?

    Size comparison

One suggestion is to outline each vehicle with different colors making them a little bit easier to see. Or perhaps just a line on the back to show where each one stops. Some of them are a little hard to identify the back of each on in the image with more than 2. Otherwise it is interesting to...

    Travelall 3 Row

A 3 row would be awesome. We currently have a van and would love to replace it with a solid offering 3 row.

48” between Wheel Wells in the Traveler

The Terra and Traveler have the same width dimensions and the Terra has already been said to be able to fit a 4x8 sheet of wood. So I would imagine that this will be likely.

    Actual pricing

Yeah it does seem very likely that they will be going away. Hopefully they can still come in at the expected price.

    [Terra] Bed tie down points

I am still not sure how I feel about the bed yet. Specifically around the tie down points, I prefer to have the tie downs more permanent. You don't have to worry about them coming loose or forgetting them if someone took them out. I agree that this looks cleaner, but when it comes to the bed I...

    Terra tailgate storage

The Colorado has this and I thought it was a cool feature. Have heard mixed reviews on water tightness of it. If it is done correctly that would be awesome to have.

    Integrated Trailer Brake Controller

You can make an after-market brake controller look good, but it isn't as easy. But having an integrated brake controller would look nicer and help keep the looks of the truck.

    Remote Features

If the introduce subscriptions for hardware that is on the vehicle (seat warmers/coolers, seat adjust memory, etc) I would 100% cancel my order. I won't support that kind of crap. From the sounds of the way they speak I don't believe they would do that, but you never know until it is released.

    Ideas for Scout Engineers

Not saying the 120v plugs have to be inside, but at least have a separate door/cover.
