  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout EV - Door Inspiration (Compilation)

Removable doors and inserts sounds great. My personal experience confirms this feature is not at all practical or even wanted in most off-roading scenarios. I want protection from mud/dust, branches and rocks. Water fording might also be a consideration, though maybe not a typical...

Scout Motors - who are your competitors?

@scoutmotors Of course you cannot reveal too much information, too early, however can you speak to the market segments you are targeting for new Scout vehicles? Who are the competitor vehicles in you sights? Luxury examples ($$$, compromise off-road capability for a luxury focus) Hummer...

What do you want in an off-road spec

I agree with 17" wheels for more tire choices. EV's being inherently heavy, a compromise is needed to ensure adequate breaking capability on-road. Prefer no air suspension. Look to the Bronco for suspension ideas. 33" tires minimum...prefer 35". With a flat bottom-side, ground clearance is...

    Rear Seats

I would like to have a fold-down 2nd row that is flat to the rear cargo floor. While I am at it, how about a fold down 3rd row facing the rearward? This row could be designed for short trips or for trail riding. Save weight and cost. ingress / egress through the tailgate.

Should Scout adopt the NACS (Tesla) charging system

Despite the many faults with Tesla, the charging network has proven to be reliable. Scout should strongly consider if investing [more] in networks with reliability concerns makes better sense for the brand. Having one common network makes accessibility to charge stations and the...

Top Five Accessories For The New Scout

    1. Integrated Security should be a main feature, but if not all of these are included in "security", perhaps some of these can be added as a module accessory. Front/rear/sides video looping with time/date stamp - like a dashcam but integrated into the Scout's display for playback / sharing to...

    Learn from the Bronco

Ford did get the Bronco right. Most of us spend a majority of our driving time on-the-road getting to our off-road destination. Scout should build on the capability of the Bronco by following the concept and improving where possible. Trade-offs to avoid - sacrificing road driving manners...

So what does everyone think of the first new Scout designs...

The SUV design direction is just right for me. If I could place my deposit for a reservation today, I would do it based on these drawings. Wish List of preferences: I do not want/need a convertible top or removable doors. Make a lower cost option for me ;) I prefer having an extended...
