  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I saw that and really curious too. I hope there's an option for one of those 4 way throughput devices. Where you can inflate all 4 tires at the same time, but even better benefit is that all 4 tires have the exact same air pressure.

    Gas Powered Range Extender

Now this has me thinking. Because when I put my pre-order in I'm going to pick the Terra with the Harvester. But I also want the full bed space. Wonder if there will be some kind of above bed rack available. Or something like the tire rack on the Traveler. Reason is I will want either a bed...

Yeah sorry was being lazy. Ha

    Gas Powered Range Extender

Interesting watch on YouTube. By the Fast Lane people. They speculate that a Porsche Boxer engine is really the only engine that makes sense to provide enough power and able to fit the small area.

    Audible pedestrian warning noise

I understand it's a law and safety feature but two things. 1) Please don't make sound like a low Church Choir 2) If you can't make it sound like an authentic ICE engine please don't force it and come up with a different sound. I know this is vague and provides no real solution but if I had one...

    Factory Spray On Bedliner

I haven't seen a thread on bed liner materials yet. But I hope for at least an upgrade option for that durable spray on bed liner, rather than just plastic or rubber lining

    Open API

I know this is a fringe request, but assuming there will be a mobile app with remote start and vehicle status information. It would be the icing on the cake for an open API. I'd tie it with my home assistant for examlple to only charge during off peak hours and only if I'm home. Or, remote...

How much personalization/modification ability do you want to see in the new Scout?

I just worry that options is synonymous with price increase. I mean don't get me wrong I don't expect the world and not pay for it. But like if you opt for "crawler" package it'd be set set price increase but then maybe an option of a handful of different bumpers, rock sliders, recovery hooks...

    Solar Panel Roof

Maybe not built into the vehicle but an add on. Solar panel tonneau cover. A field replacable part if you will.

    Battery Life Cycle

Yeah or a whole trailer using the 240V connection for several days on end. Maybe the Harvester can be configured into like stationary generator mode. And kick in automatically when the battery gets below a certain percentage.

    Battery Life Cycle

Wonder if that'll hold true with vehicles that have bidirectional charging like these. I know I'll be using it to power my camping trailer when I take it out and there's no electrical. And many people I'm sure will use it to power some demanding tools like welders. So I can see these kind of...

    Operating Temps

That's an interesting idea. The Harvester, could be more than just a range extender to ease the EV range anxiety. It could be some kind cold weather remote start. (Potentially)

    HUD

If HUD is an option, I hope for some extra strength glass. When replacing windshields that are equipped with a vehicle with a HUD in my experience have to be replaced with OEM factory glass. And an off-road/work designed vehicle, it's gunna get cracks. Matter of when not if.

    A New Generation Of Scout

When I first heard Scout was getting re-imagined I was excited for a modern fresh build with current technology and old school and enthusiast mindset. I was really excited.... Then I heard it was planned to be EV only, and I just new that wasn't for me and lost track. Seeing the new announcement...

    Operating Temps

I understand that cold temps affect battery performance pretty significantly, but what is the absolute lowest temperature that Scout vehicles would be rated for? 2 winters ago I had 5 straight days of -40°F, with much longer extended periods of 0 or near/below. And trust me, my gasoline...

    Battery Life Cycle

Sorry if this already a thread somewhere. (Didn't see one). But what does the battery life cycle look like. Eventually all batteries will need to be replaced, is there a recycling program in the works? Thought into future upgrades as solid state becomes commercially viable? Realistic warranty...
