  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    TAKE YOUR TOP OFF

I agree that it's too late for this model and too big most likely. But upvoting anyways for future designs.

Terra- Remove LED trim light on Tailgate

I like the wrap through tail lights too. But maybe option in like the infotainment to enable or disable the tailgate part if the lights?

So what does everyone think of the first new Scout designs...

As far as design of vehicles as a whole. It's a great start. I showed my wife a picture of the Terra, wide shot from the side, and her response was "Looks like a truck my grandpa had on the farm." It definitely hits the old school look and feel, but has a modern edge to it. And I mean edge in...

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

Sounds like a useful cold weather package item to me. With warming headlights.

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

Interesting, I know I was looking at some headlights for my Wrangler. And have been looking at this LED pair that have built in heater coils, was wondering if the snow build up was a real issue or not.

Any talk of crab crawl mode ?

I think that's only possible when each wheel has it's own motor. These vehicles have two, one in front one in rear. I'm not sure if a solid axle would hinder this our not, but having the rear wheels steer to a degree at low speeds may be really useful.

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

The only subscription that I could understand. Is for the cellular required stuff. Like seeing statuses, remote start, while out and about. Because hosting having that connectiviy simply isn't free. Someone has to pay it. But what I would expect is that after your 1-2 year free service, or heck...

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

I can agree with that. With great power 10k lb towing. Should be great safety. So 7 pin and brake controller should be standard. In my head thinking of keeping entry level costs down. But that really makes sense.

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

I mean if it's good I'll happily use the built in interface. As long as it can play my bespoke music and podcast apps. None of this silly only Spotify or Apple music stuff. But having options is the best way to go.

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

Standard Equipment: - Built in GPS - Innovative non-boring interior lighting - Wireless Android Auto / Apple CarPlay - 360° Camera views - Dashcam and Sentry cam recording - User initiated OTA updates - LED headlights / taillights - Defrosting Windshield, rear window, and mirrors - Rear lockers...

    SCOUT TERRA FAQ

So rear locker is standard. Front locker with sway bar disconnect will be par of offroad package. Got it.

More lift, less lift, or just right.

My big concern with the ride height is the mention of disconnecting sway bar. The wheel well with those 35"s seemed like it wouldn't have enough clearance for the wheel travel.

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

OK I think I got it. The Harvester turns the dial to 11. Thus more power. ?

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

Finally put my money where my mouth is and reserved a Terra + Harvester. Hopefully my confirmation number isn't indicative of me being 7th billion person in line ?

How much personalization/modification ability do you want to see in the new Scout?

    > Or a way to turn them off but then the next time the car is turned off and on, the lights are on again. My old 2001 Silverado had this. Press the dome light button or whatever it was 6 times and the daytimes turned off. Would stay that way until you turned off the ignition. When you started...

How much personalization/modification ability do you want to see in the new Scout?

Some quick one scenarios I can think of. - Going through a camp site after dark, where only marker lights will do. - Leaving drive movie theatre and not blinding people as you make your way out - Almost got in a fight (kinda not really) but going through a Christmas light drive through display...

How much personalization/modification ability do you want to see in the new Scout?

Not having a leather option will seem like a big miss. And should really be a premium package for those who want to pay for it. Keep the MSRP down with ventalated synthetics is fine with me. And I second the previous comment. Manual method to turn off the daytimes. And don't over think the...

How much personalization/modification ability do you want to see in the new Scout?

I know these were what did they call it, "intent" concepts or something. So should be pretty close to production. But concept vehicles are always gunna be premium and showing their best face so to speak. But..... I did watch an interview on TFL and the SM designer mentioned the purposeful design...

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

Same, ideal situation is that you run on pure electric until say 40% battery left and then Harvester kicks in to top off battery or slow down depletion is fine. But as long as we have some decent mileage on battery only. So as long as you keep your battery charged may not even need the Harvester...
