  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Cab Bench Seat feature!

Has there been any mention of a right-arm (driver) arm rest on the bench without the folding center console?

Boy, this sure beats my rate tiers—and I thought I had it pretty good. I don’t think I’ve ever exceeded 950kwh even in the summer months with the AC running “a lot”.

    Off-topic stuff…

Here’s an April 15th story. I filed my taxes this past Saturday (the 11th.) and my Federal refund has already hit my bank. Five days surprised the c**p out of me.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

All of this is predicated on the assumption that the driver will USE the turn signals.

Here are the current rates in Columbia, MO (far right column) My last fill up in the the Toy H. Was 13.8 gallons for 208 miles. MPG 15.1 Cost: $48.28 @ 3.499/gallon Fuel cost/mile: $0.254 (it was a little less because there was a grocery discount) Assuming 2miles/kWh for the Terra… $0.1111/kWh...

The problem with separate amber turn signals is the implementation. I’ve seen cars with good visible ambers, and cars with almost invisible amber turn signals. It seems that ambers buried in the red do not stand out on the street.

Unless @Jamie@ScoutMotors comments, I’d take this with a grain or two of salt.

It’s interesting how the blue on the Terra is almost Pacific Mist instead of that original blue.

The hour figure in COL. 6 makes sense for 100 miles, not 40 miles. For example: 240V/20A is 12 miles for a 2.5/kWh vehicle. Wouldn’t 40 miles be 3.33 hours instead of 8.3?

Excellent chart, thank you. But… all the level 2 figures don’t seem to match between columns 5 & 6. Or am I missing something?

I would give you a hard time for not being a true believer… But I’m also 900 miles away. Still want to see them at the Gateway Arch. (Hint Hint)
