  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

One Giant Leap Into the World of EV Ownership

By the way guys, when I get my Scout I’m going to need you to all educate me all over again again and repeat a lot of this because I will encounter stuff real time and just ask you all the same questions I asked you now. Just warning you all. 😹

I timed some of my stops in the Wrangler and those were 13 to 20 minutes. Not a noticeable difference I would say.

Would be cool to track our builds through the factory

    That would be awesome!

Planned obsolescence and lasting a lifetime

Besides Slate is there any new car out there that comes without some sort of screen?

Especially when you turn it into an “SUV”. It’s up there with Ioniqs, etc.

Completely agree. With pictures or short video clips too. If Disneyland can take your picture on Space Mountain and have it for you at the end of the ride I don’t see why SM can’t do the same.

    R2 Launch Watch

And I’m running 33 inch DuraTracs. They are expensive. And if I switch tires to a cheaper one then I have to buy 5. I’ve been having the boys take us more places in their cars. I’m trying to take some miles off the Jeep.

Yeah those are things you do t fool around with. Glad you found a cheaper price.

That stinks. That’s my worry with the Wrangler. I really don’t want to have to buy new tires.

    Warranty Considerations

I have a MOPAR lifetime warranty on my Wrangler and while I love it I understand why Chrysler stopped selling it. No one was getting rid of those cars that have it. Now it’s my understanding that they have to provide an 8 year warranty on the battery. I thought that was the law on EVs. So...

You need to figure out a way to monetize all of this.

    R2 Launch Watch

I get it, but i also hope they have people in the community get early models. Some of these people we see the Scouts blogs about and people from the forum. Really lean into the community aspect of it.

I’m sorry, how are they building 100,000 that soon. I thought they just got that paper plant to turn into their factory last year?

So instead of calling it the Passport Sport they are just calling it the Element. I wonder how close it’s going to look to the old one.

New blog story. “The Sheriff”. I love it and I am so glad he watched over the Scout legacy so it could be reborn. https://bit.ly/4f03WNW
