  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I don't think this is "niche"; the Rams have storage like this (Rambox) as standard in their highest trim levels. I would certainly be tempted by a storage system like this if it was available for the Terra.

Since Jeep still makes and sells a two door version of the Wrangler, it would not be a major engineering effort to make a two door pick-up version. So I would say it is likely they will make this.

    Different logo spots

Do you think they would be willing to sell Scout logo emblem/badges (or whatever they are called) so owners can apply them if they want? I prefer to not have excessive logos on my vehicle, and will likely remove any that are on the sides or rear.

    Route 66 Centennial Road Trip

Thanks for the update. I hope the trailer works out for you, it sounds like you have a good plan in place, but a long trip as your first serious use of the trailer seems a bit daring. Do you have experience towing and camping in a trailer?

    A less screen, focused layout

Unfortunately, a quick Google search shows that SD card slots in cars are usually used for recording dash-cam video. Does anyone know if they can be used for both recording video and music playback?

    A less screen, focused layout

An SD slot in the glove box? That is brilliant! Most cars have a data USB port, so I load up music and audio-books on USB drives to listen in the car. An place to put in an SD drive would be even better, since then I could still use the data USB port for my phone.

    Change of Heart?

Scout Motors has already announced that they will be making the Harvester Traveler first. It makes sense that the people that order that configuration would be first to receive their vehicles, regardless of their place in line. I will be ordering a BEV Terra, so I already know I am in for a...

    Traveler NEEDS the bench seat

Where did you see this? It sounds like someone is spreading FUD about the Scouts. It would be nice to be able to refute that at the source so other people reading it know that is not true.

    Under Front Seat Vents

Will they have vents under the front seats? Since this is designed as an off-road vehicle, I would assume there would not be vents in the floor to prevent water damage.

5klbs towing cap with gas range extender?

You got 30mpg in a 3500HD diesel towing 8K? How the heck did you manage that? I have a couple of friends that have HD diesels (for their horse trailers) and they don't get above 20mpg even without the trailer.

Please don't put the Harvester engine behind/below the rear axle

Scout has already confirmed multiple times that the Harvester genset will be in the rear. If that is a deal breaker for you, you will need to look for another vehicle to meet your needs.

Sorry to hear about the hazard in your area. Hopefully their (IMO rather drastic) measures to reduce the fire risk work.

I was not trying to predict what color it would be. I was pointing out that the image shown looked like a render, not a picture of the actual Traveler.

    Off-topic stuff…

You can never have too many lights when the power goes out! 😁 If you don't have an inverter yet, Ryobi has a good selection for both the 18V and 40V batteries. With 120V AC power outlets and USB-A and USB-C outlets, they are super useful to have on hand when the power goes out.

Judging from the lack of accessories, I bet that is a render. I would not expect the Traveler to be that color (white) in the April/May 2026 events.

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

@SpaceEVDriver You need to check the math on this chart. For Level-2 240V 30amp, the table has "Miles recharged per hour = 18" and in the next cell the table has "Hours to recharge 40 miles = 5.6". That can't be right. If you are recharging 18 miles per hour, it will only take 2.2 hours to...
