  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Manual Control of 4x4 system instead of silly GOAT like modes

Most of my off-road vehicles have been Jeeps which = no modes. The first 4x4 vehicle with modes has been my Bronco Raptor and it's been fun playing with the different modes but I also have control over what I want on or off. So if there's modes cool...but still let me retain the functionality to...

    Brake pedal behavior: Preference?

My preference is 1 pedal driving, it would be nice to have the option to turn it off cause I'm all about options and customizations. But even if it had it I'd still just leave it in 1 pedal driving mode

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I love these bed lights, I hope they make it into production.

Payload and towing with harvester range extender on a Traveler

I would agree. If touting payload and towing capacities then I would like for it to come with the towing goodies...but on the flip side I don't want to jack up the price of the "Tow Package" to add on things like trailer assist and other fancy towing features.

    Living with EV

I had a Tesla Model Y for a little bit and did a UT to WA and back road trip with it. Honestly stopping and charging wasn't bad at all. We had to stop and eat and use the restrooms anyway regardless of driving an EV or ICE. We didn't run into any issues with Tesla Superchargers. The ONLY time I...

    Suspension Speculation

It would be incredible, I would be sold. I love the suspension on my Raptor but I don't have any expectations that Scout can at least match that because it's not a common vehicle and just doesn't sell to the masses. So to not be disappointed I'll just safely assume it won't happen . I...

    Basic or All Decked Out?

I am spoiled. There are things I must have. Adaptive Cruise, heated steering wheel and heated seats are the niceties that I must have. I also must have all of the solid off-road goodies. 35s would be nice...but tires can be replaced and I'd want to go 37s anyway so I likely wouldn't spend the...

    Suspension Speculation

Speaking of suspension and Raptors....I have no hopes that the Scouts will be able to keep up with my Raptor in terms of suspension performance while I bomb down the desert roads and blast through sand, but....a girl can dream right?

    Suspension Speculation

This is exactly what I wanted to hear! Knowing the company is filled with people who have modified off-road and overlanding rigs lets me know that what the off-roading and overlanding communities likes and wants to do with their vehicles will be thought of. One thing I keep thinking about...

1,000+ reservations take rate stats: Harvester vs. Full-EV and Traveler vs. Terra

I cautiously stand in this camp. That it will cost less to produce and they hopefully pass on those savings to the customer.

Jerry Cans + Harvester Range Extender

Agreed wholeheartedly. The Harvester implementation will make or break the brand based on the feedback I'm seeing from others. I am rooting for Scout to be a huge success right out of the gates so I hope they can make the Harvester what we all hope it'll be. Exactly. If we have to fuel up with...

    Rear Window

That would be a nice feature to have, current design though I'm not sure how they could make it happen due to the angles of the back and that the back gate splits, in pictures it doesn't look like there's enough room in the upper portion for the glass to slide down into. As far as popping it...

Jerry Cans + Harvester Range Extender

If it happens that we have to charge AND fill up with gas before we can go again that would be a deal breaker for many I believe, including myself. My hopes are that if you need to keep going after 500 miles you can fill up with gas and go another say 300 miles before filling up with gas again...

Jerry Cans + Harvester Range Extender

Welcome to the forum and you're right, this is exactly the reason why I reserved and want the Harvester option. Not for daily around town trips but for when I'm off-road and out away from any charging stations, but also the ability to use it like a generator at camp.

I love seeing the progress like that!

    Front Bench Seat

It has been said that the bench seat option will fold down and have cup holders in it, the prototype at the reveal just didn't have that.

    Modular battery pack design

I don't think it's a good idea to have batteries serviceable by the owners, that sounds like a nightmare for anyone buying used later down the line for those reasons you mentioned, connections, cooling, waterproofing. No thanks. Having the pack easily accessible by a SM service center (or even...

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

Bingo. For me it's not so much range anxiety but more for when I'm in deep in the backcountry with no gas station OR charging station nearby, it would alleviate the concern of getting home or to a station of some kind if I can have some jerry cans attached.

    Easily Removable generator/range extender

I also can't wait to see what they actually do. I'm not looking forward to the wait but I am looking forward to the journey.
